They didn't really, presumably it was because of Araragi's involvement in the whole affair in kizu changing things a bit. A gamble to let her live and hopefully not fuck everything else up. I'd reread but idk where I stuffed my copy and am too lazy to dig it up. Kanbaru is semi a thing because Ougi and Kaiki, but she won't ever really generate good lines because of how she acts. You'll see why in Hana but how she behaves up to this point already kind of shows it. Karen talks with her fists in a series that doesn't really have much fighting. Simply can't really contribute. Even if she could, given what we had up to this point, it will probably be mostly zzz stuff. Dirty jokes #2 after Kanbaru in the best of worlds? The impression that she is an idiot stood out too much after nise and neko kuro, it'll be hard to justify it the way it was done for Kanbaru. Tsukihi is very much a thing though, see how much more time she had in S2 in comparison to Karen. Also because of the events in Onimonogatari she is now like one of the go-tos for Nishio for meta lines since he seems to intentionally keep Gahara-san lines to a minimum. Also Shinobu's meta lines tend to be more anachronistic like Nadeko's manga references, Tsukihi handles the more current event side of things. Figures, anime ads, and Tokyo censorship act was all Tsukihi iirc. Though I think those are either S3 or cut out of anime. | ||
