oh no don't worry i am gonna go back to that arc that i skipped .. it's just that i kinda got annoyed in the first episode of the arc and skipped it. and i think the other ones reason is not to know about the story of monogatari .. but rather the scenes of senjougahara + araragi sometimes i watch anime like hyouka or haruhi for the reasons of just seeing the character interactions of the couple Don't bother trying to explain or rationalize what mj does, the only way to reason it is that it is something that he does. Also looking at character interaction without context is silly.
Uhm to be honest i got bored and annoyed with the Nadeko Medusa Arc that was why i skipped it. It was kinda unbearable for some reason.
Idk if this is weird but i am very picky in watching anime or any shows in particular. If the show doesn't have a good story or has a lot of plotholes(i get enraged by those) it better has to have great characters and/or great character interactions or a great plottwist and great executions later since i would normally drop it. Fanservice doesn't even matter to me and i normally get annoyed by it.
So i got a habit when i am watching a show i don't particularly like the story or what the interests of the show are but just watched it for the sake of characters/character interactions.
Such as Spice and Wolf. The only reason i watched the show because of the flirting that was happening. I didn't really care about the meta of the economics they were talking about at their timeline.
Full Metal Panic was not appealing to me. I absolutely hate Damsel in Distress stories and i am not a fan of mecha in particular. The only reason why i watched the show was for the comedy and i kinda liked the pairup of sosuke and the other girl.
Not everyone likes The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and i understand its not really that good but it just appealed to me but even the reason why i watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya at first was not for the story but because of the characters. Although later on i got really addicted to it that i enjoyed the story. Its probably the power of bias and fanboyism.
I remember watching fairy tail (anime/manga) for the first was not for the story and the adventures and shit since i always thought that one piece is like 10x better than almost all shounen shows out there but i watched it because i liked of the subtle romance of LucyxNatsu and i remembered the not so good show i saw named RaveMaster(was created by the same author) where the end of it + Show Spoiler + Haru and Eli got married in the end that also happened in Full Metal Alchemist where + Show Spoiler + Edward and her childhood friend also got married in the end.
I sometimes watch shows for the other shit than the story but i feel like its just me that does this.

Hmm is it just me or does Kasumi have a different hair color in the Witch Craft manga?

Spice and Wolf, fortunately, wasn't actually about economics and was actually just about them flirting. I wouldn't suggest for you to ignore that, but it didn't really affect anything for better or for worse. For FMP, that's why there is fumoffu. If you just want to see Chidori and Sousuke interact you don't even need to watch S1 or S2. Watching Suzumiya for the characters makes sense, but if you don't know what Haruhi does, what can you really draw from character interactions?
You don't have to like any of this, you just have to at least know it.

I still want know the story so that i know what the hell are they talking about at times.
The only case which i mentioned that i did skip everything and just watched the episodes that i wanted was i was not planning to watch the entire series but even on those cases i read the reviews and summaries with spoilers so that i don't get left out.
You can still find enjoyment at times without knowing the story but i agree with what you said that its a bad idea.

monogatari season 2 ep 20
+ Show Spoiler +Is it just me or Araragi seems to be devoting his entire life on every girl in the series and is all willing to die and suffer for them that made me think what happened on the nekomonogatari between araragi and hanekawa was kinda irrelevant. Its getting annoying. First it was shinobu and now its the Snail Girl.
I just wished there some arc or something that makes araragi choose upon all of them. Or should i not be complaining about this ? since this is a harem show ?

Its a harem show, don't expect choices
although I am pretty sure Crab already won anyway.

There are cases for the latter with people not Gahara-san or Hanekawa but other reasons are involved. Shinobu is something like Hanekawa, except he owes her more and will probably be always plagued by a certain level of guilt.

Hell, the entire series is basically about Araragi doing dumb shit on impulse and paying for it at every turn, never learning.

yeah i was thinking the same or maybe this is just my bias over cat/little vamp because like after seeing his past with the cat in Nekomonogatari . My belief that it was a simple case of friendzone that happened was completely turned upside down. Since that was some ungodly devotion i saw at that time. In the case of the snail i felt it was more like a kid being afraid to lose his toy.
Not that i hate gahara-san I still don't buy that the crab won completely even though that's what the plot wants us to think.

I am wondering why they broadcast the arcs out of chronological order. Was there a specific reason for that?
