Wasn't sure what to think of the development at first, but I think I like it. In retrospect there wasn't actually that much they could've done after last ep though. Chisaki is really growing on me, and Miuna is a good girl. New op and ed are good, I'm happy to get another nagi ed. Great background shots as usual, but even more so with the snow scenery now.
As for reactions, apparently Japan likes it increasingly.
"Nagi no Asukara, why are you becoming a sad show?!?!?"

ya, I'm not disagreeing with timeskip although I was hoping that Hikaru and whoever else wakes up will somehow grow in age and body, guess that was impossible lol. It was great to see both Chisaki, Miuna and Sayu grow a lot and ya, the new characters have already grown on me. Chisaki seems to have gotten a lot stronger from the past but still has her moments which is also nice to see. It must've been devastating for her to lose all her childhood friends in one go yes, I agree. More nagi episodes, the better lol.

I've always considered nagi as having some of the best animation from most animes I've seen. It has pretty clear animation and when needed, they have all the different effects like fog effects and such. It also does help that the characters are all likeable. Maybe we'll get another cour after this if Japan likes it lol. Well, I dunno about dramaheavy tbh. There was drama at the beginning(it was mostly Hikaru lol) but it started becoming much heavier towards the end of the show. By end, I mean last stretch of episodes when Hikari tried to get both sides to talk about the ofunehiki, the confessions between all 4 friends and of course, the biggest was in the episode prior to this latest one where Hikari, Manaka and Kaname all disappeared into the sea.

To add on, it's a bit saddening that so far, seems like no one has talked or mentioned Kaname. I guess it can't be helped since Akari is still alive, so Hikari has family to talk about him while Kaname's family were all living in the sea. Poor guy. First he gets rejected by Chisaki who seems to be in love with Tsumugi and then he disappears and hasn't been seen since the Ofunehiki but we don't see much concern for him, ouch. Hope this is not too long lol

Well, you know, it's usually the case that the drama increases in intensity as a story progresses. It was dramaheavy from the start, so it is not a surprise.

The time skip was better than I expected, considering the last episode preview barely had anything to do with the actual episode -_-. They just love screwing up relationships in this show.

Based on the OP, I'm assuming they won't be doing any further time skips. I think it'll get old pretty quickly if they keep going with them.

ya, of course As for Chisaki part, I mostly based it off how she was reacting to him prior to timeskip, more so when they did the Ofunehiki and she rescued him and such. I'm not saying this is a 100% sure thing since that can be due to friendship and such but I still think that she may have some feelings for him and I'm kinda recalling her acting 'weird' around him. I'm not sure if there is post-timeskip seeing as we only have one episode to base things on.

that's one nice graph you got there lol. I would say there is a Chisaki to Tsumugu one but have we ever seen Tsumugu have feelings for Chisaki? It's possible I missed it lol.

even if the rest of the manga doesn't go anywhere at least it looks pretty T_T
