Ovas are mostly back story that help you get more into the story, I think I only watched the movie that retells the first 2 episodes but I would watch the first 2 episodes anyway. it's quite possible that's what it's missing but I wouldn't know XD On November 15 2013 14:33 Ferrose wrote: I never watch more than two episodes at a time. It's easier to remember and analyze what happened that way; the human mind can only absorb so much information at one time. it's true but then imagine if you're watching some 100+ anime, do you really want to watch them over a month and a half? I think that's way too long. There is a chance you'll forget what happened. As Souma mentioned, can always just rewatch some parts again ^_^

I just have another query: while looking at all the legally obtainable versions of LoGH, there seems to be a strong distaste for the way the DVD release was done compared to the original laserdisc; is there that much of a difference?

Something's horribly wrong if you're forgetting things after a couple days. It's still great and the plan was always to build up his acts of heroism so it makes sense though the amount of crimes in progress they find is surprising. I wish I knew what they were building up to. I'm still not sure what the direction of the show is supposed to be. On November 15 2013 16:41 elt wrote: Thanks for the responses on LoGH. I mean, let's look at it this way: I've been keeping up with Naruto for quite a while now(manga though). Do I remember everything that happened? no. I remember most important events. I was mostly referring to forgetting some of the little details and not the big picture which is what you generally need to enjoy the anime. I also can't do 2 episodes a day when I know that there's another 98+ that will continue the story lol

The DVD release looks wayyyy better. Sure, some scenes were redrawn, and the difference in quality is noticable. But the original stuff that was redrawn looked unbelievably shitty in the first place, and is even more stand-out. I'll post screenshot comparisions when I get home.

Hmm well most were from ANN, they were in the romance, love triangle, drama, and some comedy, they don't have to be exactly like WA but as long it isn't all about the comedy (if it doesn't have any it's okay though) than anything else and the setting is just normal people instead of magic/alien/scifi/fantasy crap, then I'm good. I was going to watch Suzuka next. Idk if Kimi Machi is like WA, I thought it was more similar to Kimi Nozo. Tonari is leaning towards the too much comedy territory, this stuff is pretty abundant so meh. Romance, drama, comedy is way too broad (most shows that fall into these categories aren't quite like WA anyway). And I have no idea how shows like Mirai Nikki, Ima, Sokoni Iru Boku or Denpa Teki na Kanojo ended up there. Well, Mirai Nikki does have an unlikable protagonist just like WA, so that's one similarity at least. On November 15 2013 17:06 Spazer wrote: I wish I knew what they were building up to. her own father telling her to stay away from Tada because she'll ruin his life lol. Even her own father believes that, that's quite big! >< I think it's in her personality to act so lovey dovey although I still do wonder if she likes Mitsuo and 'acting' infront of Tada. Linda seems like such a sweet person though. Nana is pretty cool and funny how she started screaming at Linda lol. I can see where this is heading though. It's obvious that Tada will end up with Koko due to the fact that the author is the same as Toradora and Linda said she'll support him from the side when they had the talk. Too bad though. I always thought Linda was the better, more interesting person. You are making a mistake Tada, pick the no crazy option! lol. Also, ya, let's book tickets and go to paris now! XD + Show Spoiler [Valvrave] + L-Elf's first name is Mikhail? lol. ok episode. Funny to see that Haruto's father was the one who made the Valvrave's and was dang proud of it compared to 'his son' who wants to destroy them. Nothing major happened other than these two discoveries. Wonder if Mikhail will get her out safely since I don't get the feeling that, that will happen. + Show Spoiler [Nagi No Asukara] + Getting a lot more interesting now. I was actually hoping that the land and sea people would've come to terms during that meeting but man, are the sea people such pricks >.> Then again, the land people(or elders) provoked them further after the apology comments lol. I didn't realize that Uroko actually would prevent people from leaving although since they are the descendants, guess it's an exception. In a way, I was hoping that they would be prevented from leaving because it could set up for more tense situations after the fact but even the father himself didn't want them stopped eventually and I think it would've been a permanent state(frozen). Hikari leaving though, wonder where he'll stay if not with his sister. I honestly have no clue who's going to end up with who so far lol. It could be either Hikari or Tsumugu for Manake. I feel it's Tsumugu but I also feel that for the sake of the sea, the four friends will just end up with each other. Feels odd to be talking about pairing for what essentially are still kids >.> On November 15 2013 23:33 Spaiku wrote: I think i might have diabetes after the last episode of Golden Time Also Nana was introduced making Linda sink even further as worst girl I would say koko is the craziest although she's very dramatic lol. It's only been like an episode or two at best that she's been feeling guilty about it. My thoughts are that she was planning to accept his confession but obviously can't anymore. Just watch it for the comedy and see how everything changes etc... you'll enjoy it a lot more even if somethings are predetermined and are obvious since the first episode.

Not a bad episode, wish it was a bit longer. I thought that we're going to see Madoka finally being mentioned as a sister or something, guess not yet. Tatenski having a sister was unexpected though then again, they look similar in some ways lol. Ichika going to partner with her is so bizzare though. I mean, ok, it's your fault her personal IS got delayed but can you really just go to another class and ask someone to be your partner who you've never talked to before? seems really odd to me at least. We'll probably get more info in the next episode though so can't wait for that. Personally, I was hoping he would decline them all one by one if that's what the author was aiming for lol. Would've loved to see Broom, Cecilia, Lin and Charlotte's faces when he did that but I guess, him asking Tatenski's sister is an indirect decline XD
