![]() LoGH got marathoned over three days or so, that show was SO good, I love shows of any kind with a long expansive story that doesn't get ruined by crap and plot holes. Also Reinhard and Yang were pretty awesome. At first I thought oh it's cool I'll just watch 3-4 episodes and go to bed, I could hear my mind go "Hahahahaha you're cute, no we're watching the whole thing ![]() ![]() Was a good show and a good story, thank god it didn't feel like a waste of time like Toradora lol. + Show Spoiler [Kimi no Iru Machi] + Fucking Ren, wow I never hated a character so much since Flay from Gundam Seed. I couldn't tell what this girl wanted half of the time, it's like she's just there to piss the viewers off, stirring shit up and act like she wanted Haruto's D just so she can call him a scum bag later, what?. It's obvious she was just there to create drama but beyond that I couldn't really get her purpose, couldn't stuff just had happened without her around? I mean I really don't see why this character had to be there, Ugh such an irritating character. I don't get why people whine about the ending, it was obvious that Haruto and Eba would end up together somehow, this isn't Kimi Nozo, Haruto didn't "Owe" anything to Asuka and their relationship wasn't that deep from the looks of it. He wasn't all PTDS'd because of Eba and then she helped him recover blah blah, if someone was going to get her heart broken was going to be Asuka. I remember thinking before Kazama died "Wow this character Asuka is TOO good to be true, she's either going to get ignored or they'll end up together and she'll get hurt" Bingo on #2, she was really nice and I mean she was fucking next door, it's like the writers couldn't hide the fact they wanted something to happen with her. I liked Asuka but I never thought "she deserved" to end up with Haruto, I mean the guy moved all the way from Hiroshima to see Eba and of course wasn't going to be as easy as just moving to get the girl back. Even with all the shit that happened you just knew they were going to end up together somehow. I liked Eba over all, I mean they both acted like true teenagers, indecisive, stupid, naive, love sick, etc etc, no relationship is ever without its bumps on the road. It was kind of T_T that she left Haruto for Kazama though how much of that was pity and how much was that she really cared about him is doubtful, I felt he was the Mitsuki (Kimi Nozo) of this show. You can see how different she was back then before he met Kazama and after, so I can see why she might feel like she owed him something though I don't know how pretending to be a couple does a dying man any good lol. Sigh I feel so bad for Kazama, I really wanted for him to recover and make things interesting with him healthy and all ![]() Regardless of its similarities to Tora, I felt the story was better and there were no creepy loli's in this one lol, also it seems they cut a good chunk of the manga so the story felt like it needed some more development, this make me want to read the manga which is a first so I hope they expand on what happened in Hiroshima with Eba and Haruto. That's the part that suffered the most I think, well that and Nanami, man, it's like they copied Minori too (Though I guess Asuka is more similar to Minori since she's all sporty and shit) but Haruto first liked Nanami but nooooo Eba had to get in the way of that ![]() Overall good show, would watch again. I guess someone gets addicted to anime *shakes head* lol. Well, nice to know that I'm not the only one who's watched 11+ episodes back to back at times XD ps still have your WA2 rant to respond to, haven't forgotten ^^ Lies, you totally forgot about me and my wall of text about WA2 /TEARS!!. It's cool man, that was a lot of stuff and you're an anime addict ![]() ![]() ![]() how can I forget your WA2 wall of text? IMPOSSIBLE! ![]() I'm not an anime addict. I just happen to like watching anime back to back >.> haha ya, smaller walls of text to address. I do the same although seems like most in this thread have had similar experiences. Do some studying for a good while then just watch a lot lol. 8 shows? care to mention them? would like to see if I've stumbled onto them in my search. WA is a powerful anime? ![]() Yeah I do the same way too often, I just like to be able to control it lol. I prefer watching new stuff that come out once a week that way I can control how much I consume, that's why I try to be careful about "old" (that have already ended) shows the whole thing is out there D: it's so easy to let it take over and lose 4 hours sleep because of it. Sure, Okay so it turns out there were more than 8 but yeah, these were a bunch of "similar" shows to WA from ANN and MAL. amagami SS, Suki-tte Ii na yo, my little monster Ima, Sokoni Iru Boku, Kimi no Iru Machi, Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, Mirai Nikki, Princess Nine, Boku wa Tomodachi, Video Girl Ai, Onegai Teacher, Hanasakeru Seishōnen, H2, I''s Pure, Denpa teki na Kanojo, Koi Kaze, Suzuka, Photokano, Ajimu: Kaigan Monogatari. They vary in "similarness" to WA, Koi Kaze looks pretty fucked up lol, I want to take a look at that one eventually. I will not be held responsible if one or more of these suck lol, since I only read a short plot summary and at most saw the "cover" and that was it. Of all of these I've only watched Sukitte and Kimi no Iru Machi. Sukitte you should like I feel, I always complain about how shitty it is when shit ends too ambiguously or without a definite ending, but I think I disliked Sukitte's ending more lol it's as predictable and "boring" as it gets. I liked the beginning and middle parts though, but since you like Toradora ![]()

The ending was just pretty forgettable, was like him being sick or something and her being dumb not going to visit him, I think that was the ending. I watched it a couple of weeks ago and I already forgot most of it, most of the drama came from megumi and once she was dealt with, it sort of went away and was just her being insecure and him being cool. Decent show but boring ending. I watched the first episode of that one over dinner and it looks pretty okay, more comedy than anything else though. Let's see if anything happens besides him beating people up or being socially inept. It's pretty funny though so if I watch it for that then it should be good.

Still worth the watch for the comedy and characters. Yeah she was okay. Hmm well most were from ANN, they were in the romance, love triangle, drama, and some comedy, they don't have to be exactly like WA but as long it isn't all about the comedy (if it doesn't have any it's okay though) than anything else and the setting is just normal people instead of magic/alien/scifi/fantasy crap, then I'm good. I was going to watch Suzuka next. Idk if Kimi Machi is like WA, I thought it was more similar to Kimi Nozo. Tonari is leaning towards the too much comedy territory, this stuff is pretty abundant so meh.

Though I have watched some smaller series (~12 eps) in one sitting, but I don't consider it a marathon unless you watch over 15 in one sitting ![]() Edit: My top 5 of the season in no particular order: Golden Time, Outbreak Company, Infinite Stratos, Non Non Biyori, Unbreakable Machine-Doll. Though I also like: Kill la Kill, I Couldn't Become a Hero so I got a Job, and actually Walkure Romanze is growing on me. The gem of course is Monogatari from last season though, and I just added some other animes that are a bit older to my "list of anime that I want to watch, but graduate school keeps me too busy"
