+ Show Spoiler [Anohana] +Watched this. Cried at the start and end :'( Touching story. I thought at the start that he was just ignoring her and she can be seen only to realize later that only Jintan can see her. I liked the development of the story, the pace and all the secret conspiring that were going on even when they were kids. Hearing that Poppo saw her as she was drowning was crushing, same with hearing how it all played out One of the better animes I've watched. I'm happy that the authors had a proper ending for her. I would've been sadder if she just disappeared but once they had the messages then they could all see and hear her, felt like good closure to me. I can only imagine how they must all feel about losing her. Will write more since it's already late here. PS: the message to Jintan, that she loves her and it's the love to get married was one of the most touching in the story. True love even if they are still teenagers.

Yeah, I mean it's pretty cheesy but it still got me towards the middle-end =(.

Why do you mean they spoiled the show? you mean with what they showed at the beginning of the first episode? The show will have 20+ episodes, my guess is that they will graduate, go to university and shit will happen there. I doubt they will stay in high school and the band. I mean he doesn't look TOO excited to be in the club in the first place so idk if that's his "dream" but we'll see. Yeah I also wrote down a couple other of the shows you wrote about Shock, some look pretty good . I should be done with Sukitte tomorrow xD or well... later today since it's 5am already <.<. lol is it? There were no rants there or anything >.> You make a good point and I was surprised that he wasn't. I like Mikasa's character. Strong willed, tough, etc... I actually had no clue it was being hyped when I picked it up. Seemed like another interesting story, cool characters etc... I was joking about spoiling the show. Ya, I was talking about the beginning since I figured they'll work up to it so it was incoming. Remember, we dunno if they will go that far so I wouldn't get your hopes up until it happens. Always remember Toradora lol. ya, my mistake. Lots of different anime and I'm not that familiar with japanese names and such so I keep on forgetting and such. Dream: + Show Spoiler +I was talking about the book that Touma was given by his friend then told to help him fulfill his dream. . + Show Spoiler [White Album 2] +it's interesting to see how white album's plot is progressing. Seeing Touma hit the ground was heart wrenching, the poor thing. I'm guessing she won't show up and then they'll get to her place and get her to a hospital or something. Haruki will spend time in the hospital and they will grow closer. On the other hand, Setsuna will be upset about her friend being sick but she might be jealous about Haruki being so close to her. I mean, she got kinda jealous and depressed because he spent time at Touma's place without telling her. She obviously has feelings for him and I think she developed them since the first episode. Touma is starting to develop them as well although she's still a bit in her own world. Setsuna wanting Haruki to call her by her first name was funny lol. btw, do you know what Touma was writing or doing in that book? I mean, we don't have much hints to go by but I wasn't sure if I missed something. Forgot to ask, which one do you think he'll end up with or do you think it's a neither? Well while it didn't have rants, it's just all the text you were replying to + your replies, if anything the rants are better to "look at" for other people since they are inside spoiler tags. Just didn't feel right quoting that one since it was kinda long. Yeah I never knew about Titan until the show was about to come out and a friend kept talking about it telling me to watch it, he still likes it, then again I started to hate Blizz before he did and he finally came around to that as well . I really don't think they will stay in high school, seems like their school year is about to end, Haruki already got into college, Setsuna was talking to her parents how next year she'll go away to college as well etc etc, I'll say 10 episodes tops and we're in college with them. Yeah I knew what you meant by dream, but I mean remember at first he had totally given up on the band when everyone quit in episode 1 and he doesn't seem to be the bands #1 fan so idk if his dream is related to the band. Maybe music related yes but the band? idk I really have no idea. + Show Spoiler +Also it was something Haruki's friend had not him.. he didn't seem to recognize it when Touma was waving it around with the teacher, I think if it was his or idk something of his he would have been like O.o when did Lizuka gave her that ? wtf. I thought that might happen but it didn't. I'm glad you watched the whole thing in one sitting lol, hardcore :O! that /whip is totally working . Yes I agree about Touma, that crap with her at the end was like NOOOOOOOO TOUMA WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU D:!. Probably didn't sleep for several days before the concert and passed out when her system felt she stopped pumping adrenaline once she was "done". I don't know about that in the hospital, I think you're getting REALLY ahead of yourself. While yes there's been some moments in the show that show they like each other, I don't think we're in the realm of people like kissing/being overly affectionate towards each other yet. She'll probably go to the hospital but both Setsuna and Haruki will be there, just like they did after her freak out with the teacher in the music room, Haruki wants everyone to feel part of the group and that they're a "unit" not him and Touma and Setsuna on the outside that's what caused toothbrush-gate lol. While yes it is very obvious that Setsuna likes Haruki (Also Touma I mean she worked so hard for his "dream", no one would do that unless they liked someone A LOT), Setsuna worked so hard to recruit Touma for the band because Haruki wanted her there not because she had any particular attachment to the piano playing person she didn't know lol. She got jealous I'll say 90% because of her past history with her friends and what happened there, she didn't want to feel left out of the new group she found, I think if she was perceiving that Touma was stealing Haruki romantically she would have pulled out the claws not just be all emo about it. It's obvious they both like Haruki and Haruki likes Touma because she's so cool and talented (not that Touma thinks she is lol), that part by the train when Touma pulls him off the train was like :O! TOUMA WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Haruki was like O_O WUT!?. Either way I think the "dream" is probably some sort of song or something and that's why Lizuka gave it to Touma who is very musically talented and all that, she was probably writing some music/working on some arrangements for the event? that's my best guess since like you I don't have much to go by. If I had to "guess" which at this point is pretty difficult, I'll say Touma but I can't say that sure by much since he promised Setsuna that whole I'll never let you go and stop talking to you blah blah thing, I guess we'll find out, this show is going to be long and lots of shit will happen. ya, no worries. Oh, I see about titan. Well, I'm hoping they don't say in high school lol and you make a good point. + Show Spoiler +ya, I was surprised he didn't recognize it as well. It's from a while back(2007). Nah, it's only 5 episodes, not that hardcore Pull back da whip or else >.> Yes, that scene was sad. She obviously overworked herself at the worst time. Wonder how they will react. yes, I probably am but how are they going to build up their relationship? cmon, she has no family or rather one that hasn't seen her in a long time compared to Setsuna. I think Haruki knows that and that will make him make an effort to get closer to comfort her. It's just a guess though and possibly a bit out there. Toothbrush incident was funny. I remember reading the words toothbrush from your post a while back so I noticed lol. It was needed I think, to generate some drama. yes, her history is pretty important and I agree. well, maybe not romantically but everything is heading in that direction so far. ya true true and that part was wtf to me as well. That promise might be a nail in the coffin for Touma although he said it as friends and not lovers. Who knows? I'm really interested to see what directions the show takes + Show Spoiler [Response] +Well aren't they still in 2007? so the notebook is only like 1 month old, according to Touma's clock which they showed A LOT it was like november something, I'm mostly curious about the book than anything else at this point lol. WTF is it about? What is in it? What is the "dream"? Why did Lizuka gave it to Touma except for the fact that it seems she's totally into him and she's musically talented? Which is the one thing that makes me think it's musically related. While she may not have any family none that we see (though in the first episode you can see her mom went to cheer for her at the concert), Haruki doesn't have any family to speak of either, her mom seems to be MIA from episode 1, all we know is that she exists because she left that note about dinner. But I don't think Haruki is that forward to be honest, I doubt he'll see her being in the hospital as an "opportunity" to do anything but take care of her which I doubt she'll do without Setsuna 99% of the time. But I could be wrong so we'll see next week. For now I think Setsuna will make an effort to get closer to Touma and finally get her to call her by her first name , we'll see how that works out for her. I really do think she's making an effort to get close to Touma while obviously liking Haruki. Also there's one thing I wanted to ask, you remember when Setsuna and Touma were together in the music room in episode 4 when Setsuna asks her when they will be able to practice together and Touma says the weekend, Setsuna has this odd look for a second after Touma said that.. Am I looking too into it or do you think that look means anything?. They do sort of hint at Setsuna being overly fake sometimes, and there she had that odd look and then replied with a happy looking face suddenly. I don't think Haruki ever implied anything as lovers or otherwise with that, just that he'll stick around in her life no matter what unless she doesn't want him to be there any more, which is nice but again if Setsuna doesn't want him he's free to go :o. I don't think we'll see anything ROMANTIC like kisses or any advancements until after the concert, I think that's how they are handling things, once they open that can of worms is gonna get ugly so I think they are taking their time with that. This theory is helped by the fact that Haruki was saying how that was the last time they were all together and happy, so I think of it as you know no one was doing anything behind anyone's back and no one was declaring love for anyone we were just happy friends lol. + Show Spoiler [white album 2] +good question, not sure XD I just saw 2007 on the front of the book. If it was a month back, I think that he would remember it. I'm wondering the same thing. Just what is in that book to make her work so hard. Maybe she knew it was him playing the guitar from way back and saw this as an opportunity to help him since they supposedly would play along each other from the different rooms.
ya, of course, we don't see her but we know she's there in person at least. I mean, with Touma, she's not there at all. She's in Paris the last three years so ya, imo, no comparison but I get your point. I'm not saying he'll see it as anything else but who knows how Setsuna sees it if she goes home for ex and he decides to stay by her bedside the first day or so if she's in bad shape? mostly speculating though and I'm sure things will be fine. haha ya that was funny. I think she just wants to be close friends so she's forcing them to use her first name lol.
umm maybe a bit too much into it? My guess is that Setsuna was surprised at either how fast they can play together or that Touma would know such an answer seeing as she doesn't see him play much in person. ya, he didn't at all. Setsuna might have other plans. We know she likes him and then putting the bunnies beside each other on the wall etc... is either a sign of something to come(what she's thinking) or I'm reading too much into it rofl. ya, nothing romantic yet, at least not until the concert is done then fireworks! haha true true. When did he say this? still have to respond to your toradora rant although now I have to look for it with how fast this thread is moving >< Wanted to ask you guys, which would you guys recommend? Anohana or Non Non Biyori? I know they are quite different from each other but if you had to choose one to watch, which is the best pick? I was thinking Anohana but Non Non Biyori seems to be full of comedy which is something I like Thread isn't moving any faster, your heart just isn't in it any more </3 so sad ;(. You'll find it . + Show Spoiler +Haruki said that like on the very first episode when they were showing that footage of the concert and then showed them like backstabbing each other over Haruki lol, watch the first episode again is like right at the beginning. Another question I wanted to ask you, but you took forever to reply to this you jerk. Did you see in the last episode when Lizuka was talking to Haruki and asking him "About that thing you made" then he saw Setsuna coming and shut him up? What was that thing he made? he made something? wtf was it? I have no clue what they were talking about, were they referring to the book Lizuka gave Touma? was he finally going to tell him he gave it to her? I'm very curious, that totally would have gone under the radar had I not watched it for like the 4th time . Also yes I caught the whole thing with the bunnies, I think it means something as well. I still think her demeanor when Touma told her about the weekend meant something, she has a very odd and serious look on her face and then like YAY OKAY COOL OMG SO HAPPY!. Watch it again, I think you'll find yourself seeing stuff you missed before. I don't think they are hidden necessarily but there are so many other stuff going on that you don't pay attention to the "lesser" stuff or characters. I'm pretty positive that we're in 2007, the clock says as much in fact I just watched the first few secs of episode 5 because I know they show that clock again it says 2007/11/18 Sun 15:12, so the notebook is from a month ago, maybe he just didn't identify it because he didn't see "October 2007" written on it. I don't think Touma will be in the hospital long enough or at all maybe for anything serious to happen, anyone to feel like OMG I CAN'T LEAVE THOSE 2 ALONE WTF /STAYS!. They finally got the "band" together, really together in episode 5 with that whole skipping class because Touma had a freak out moment, I think it will stay that way until after the performance, maybe they'll have a moment but Touma is in full denial mode about Haruki and Haruki know's she's a bit mean... so we'll have to wait for her to open up a little I think. Lol Almost forgot that closing spoiler tag, good thing I preview stuff before I click post.

Yeah, I mean it's pretty cheesy but it still got me towards the middle-end =(. I think it's hard not to be cheesy. I mean, Imagine if Menma didn't do all that stuff or Jintan didn't react the way he did and instead it was all serious then I think he would lose a lot of readers because it's too serious. At the same time, just how serious can you be? I mean, we know the story: + Show Spoiler +we know how most were involved that day. That Menma gathered them to make Jintan cry because she promised his mom then she ran after him after he left and slipped falling into the river and drowning. To them, this is so serious yet Menma was happy most times(Cried couple). It was in stark contract to the idea that she should be completely sad since she died. Her mother breaking down when they talked about the fireworks was so moving. 10 years and she still remembers. Time was frozen to her, must've been rough :'( It must also been rough for her son and husband seeing as the family wasn't as close and such after that.
I guess my point is, I loved the show, was happy that they all got a chance to confess and also to tell Menma how much they loved her especially Jintan who I feel should've been the first to tell her that he loves her, marriage type of love. I thought the ending was spot on and nice to see everyone back together and trying to improve themselves. Still a bit sad that now that she is gone since even if she is reincarnated, the age difference between them would be huge so even if they find each other somehow(she remember names if reincarnated), it won't be the same anymore. I feel that just saying that she wants to rest in peace and how much she loved them then leaving it at that might've been as good or better of an ending. Anyone else thought the same?.

I was thinking Anohana but Non Non Biyori seems to be full of comedy which is something I like Thread isn't moving any faster, your heart just isn't in it any more 3 so sad ;(. Anohana being the best one at it. AnoHana gets almost everyone, it's made to make you cry if it doesn't you have NO HEART! you're a ROBOT!. Such a wonderful anime, I love that show so so much. It makes me cry every time but it's like happy tears, not sad about it really you're just overwhelmed by what happens that you just cry ;(. Excellent stuff. Glad you watched it. Also for some reason I always liked this version of the song better than the one with the girls singing. + Show Spoiler +https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOFZ9DBLAuI it still is but I feel like we've been rehashing the same points from when we first started discussing it but nevertheless, I shall respond then we can close it off unless there are things we missed. + Show Spoiler +I would need to re-watch the first part of the first episode then. I remember he shut him up but I've watched a couple of other animes since so I need to re-watch that part lol. I can only guess its the book though since we weren't told he made anything else. You're the jerk for thinking I reply too slowly Sounds like someone's an addict. yes, the bunnies meant something, maybe to signify feelings or what she was thinking. umm, I will re-watch that part at some point but nevertheless, I still feel that her expression was one of, "how did she know?". Remember, she had no clue that they were hanging out to practice so how could Touma tell just like that. She was happy that he would join them and they can play white album together, not surprising tbh. You may be over analyzing Clock had date? :O How did I miss that? lol. Fair enough, maybe he didn't recognize for that reason. Yes, probably not for long and I doubt Setsuna will think that. Just saying it's still a possibility to advance their relationship a bit further. Well, they have to stay that way till the performance. As it stands, they are friends and all are working hard for that performance. Anything less to them is disappointing I would think. It's gonna be a while before she opens up. btw, what other embarassing things happened to Touma when Haruki was there? I only remember him walking upstairs as she walked out of the bathroom.
AnoHana was a great anime. I only cried a bit but I guess I'm not a robot then? It's definitely great. Yes, overwhelmed about it. Still, + Show Spoiler +cant help but feel a bit sad that Menma is 'gone' even if she will be reincarnated. Read my top spoiler^

What would you have her do though? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'she did nothing'
She fought whoever wanted to fight her She killed when ordered to kill From my understanding, as a servant, her freedom is limited.
Her goal was to change the past so that the destruction of her country would not occur. To do so, she needed the Grail, and she fought with that in mind.

She needed the Grail? Maybe. Certainly didn't act like she wanted it that much though. She wasn't willing to put up with Kiritsugu for the sake of winning. She wasn't willing to raise her hand against him to get a better chance of winning. In the end, she never really acted with any conviction during the fourth war, and her half-assed results of beating only trash mobs show basically just that.
It is all the funnier when you consider how she claimed to have been peerless during the fourth war to Shirou later on.

It's pretty funny that Kiritsugu actually "won" with a servant like her. Imagine if he had something like Assassin.

It goes both ways, Saber probably would've performed better if she wasn't stuck with Kiritsugu, though I guess none of the masters from Zero would've really worked well with her. Neither of them really tried to work around each other either, so eh.

What are the shows to look out for this season? Only watching Gundam build fighters, monogatari S2,ippo, kuroko, and valvrave S2 atm.
Some of the shows kinda look intriguing to me but I dont wanna waste time watching them just to find out they're bad.
