I mean, Imagine if Menma didn't do all that stuff or Jintan didn't react the way he did and instead it was all serious then I think he would lose a lot of readers because it's too serious. That Menma gathered them to make Jintan cry because she promised his mom then she ran after him after he left and slipped falling into the river and drowning. To them, this is so serious yet Menma was happy most times(Cried couple). It was in stark contract to the idea that she should be completely sad since she died. Her mother breaking down when they talked about the fireworks was so moving. 10 years and she still remembers. Time was frozen to her, must've been rough :'( It must also been rough for her son and husband seeing as the family wasn't as close and such after that.
I guess my point is, I loved the show, was happy that they all got a chance to confess and also to tell Menma how much they loved her especially Jintan who I feel should've been the first to tell her that he loves her, marriage type of love. I thought the ending was spot on and nice to see everyone back together and trying to improve themselves. Still a bit sad that now that she is gone since even if she is reincarnated, the age difference between them would be huge so even if they find each other somehow(she remember names if reincarnated), it won't be the same anymore. I feel that just saying that she wants to rest in peace and how much she loved them then leaving it at that might've been as good or better of an ending. Anyone else thought the same?. I mean, she got kinda jealous and depressed because he spent time at Touma's place without telling her. She obviously has feelings for him and I think she developed them since the first episode. Touma is starting to develop them as well although she's still a bit in her own world. While yes it is very obvious that Setsuna likes Haruki (Also Touma I mean she worked so hard for his "dream", no one would do that unless they liked someone A LOT), Setsuna worked so hard to recruit Touma for the band because Haruki wanted her there not because she had any particular attachment to the piano playing person she didn't know lol. She got jealous I'll say 90% because of her past history with her friends and what happened there, she didn't want to feel left out of the new group she found, I think if she was perceiving that Touma was stealing Haruki romantically she would have pulled out the claws not just be all emo about it. It's obvious they both like Haruki and Haruki likes Touma because she's so cool and talented (not that Touma thinks she is lol), that part by the train when Touma pulls him off the train was like :O! Which is the one thing that makes me think it's musically related. While she may not have any family none that we see (though in the first episode you can see her mom went to cheer for her at the concert), Haruki doesn't have any family to speak of either, her mom seems to be MIA from episode 1, all we know is that she exists because she left that note about dinner. But I don't think Haruki is that forward to be honest, I doubt he'll see her being in the hospital as an "opportunity" to do anything but take care of her which I doubt she'll do without Setsuna 99% of the time. But I could be wrong so we'll see next week. For now I think Setsuna will make an effort to get closer to Touma and finally get her to call her by her first name , we'll see how that works out for her. I really do think she's making an effort to get close to Touma while obviously liking Haruki. Also there's one thing I wanted to ask, you remember when Setsuna and Touma were together in the music room in episode 4 when Setsuna asks her when they will be able to practice together and Touma says the weekend, Setsuna has this odd look for a second after Touma said that.. Am I looking too into it or do you think that look means anything?. They do sort of hint at Setsuna being overly fake sometimes, and there she had that odd look and then replied with a happy looking face suddenly. I don't think Haruki ever implied anything as lovers or otherwise with that, just that he'll stick around in her life no matter what unless she doesn't want him to be there any more, which is nice but again if Setsuna doesn't want him he's free to go :o. I don't think we'll see anything ROMANTIC like kisses or any advancements until after the concert, I think that's how they are handling things, once they open that can of worms is gonna get ugly so I think they are taking their time with that. + Show Spoiler [White Album] + Hmm well if you don't remember much from that first scene of the show then you should go take it a look, he says quite a few things in that part that has ramifications throughout the rest of the show at least so far. I'm slightly skeptic (though it's most likely the book) but why would he be embarrassed enough to shut him up so rudely as Setsuna got to school about the book? doesn't seem like the type of thing he would be embarrassed about UNLESS Lizuka took it upon himself to give it to Touma and IT IS something he would be embarrassed about. In which case it should be interesting to see what happens when he finds out about that lol. Also funny how Touma would go through so much trouble for "his dream" when she's in full denial mode about liking him lol. NOT ADDICTED, I can quit whenever I want . Nah just I feel the episodes have all these little details that I miss unless I watch the show a few times, I don't want to miss possible "clues" as to what might happen next. The bunnies were too obvious, she had the bunny all by itself with her and then when she was happy with Haruki omg back with the white bunny, kind of funny how him saying her name totally made her night lol. Too many feelings D:, I was cheering for that show's Minori the entire time haha, it seems nice that at the end they seem to connect at school, though who knows how that's gonna go after the way things ended with Menma.
+ Show Spoiler + I think that's what made everyone love Menma so much, that she was such a happy little girl who cheered up everyone when they were down and made them even happier when they were in a good mood. Well I'm sure losing your kid is a scarring experience, one so cheerful and good specially I mean you can tell she brought joy into that house.
I don't think any type of reincarnation would have been good for the show or even a little realistic, though I guess that ship sailed when a ghost came back to visit her friends 10 years later <.<. BUT STILL, it would have been odd. I was 100% happy with that ending, it was just a beautiful thing coming to an ending that was perfect. That's why I love rewatching that show, it just feels like such a wonderful story and it ends in such a way that I'm left satisfied after I finish. I love Menma's character so much so I was never in a position to dislike her like I do Taiga haha, I mean who wouldn't love a girl like that? I felt bad the redhead was kind of left out and didn't have Jintan's attention but that's how shit was with Menma around, same for the other girl. Everyone was just drawn to Menma because of the way she was. I really look forward to that movie they made, want to watch it already, seems to have quite a bit of new footage so I would like to see if any new relationships flourished during that time if it's been long enough since Menma disappeared.

Is it just me or does it seem like no one is watching Yowamushi Pedal? I watched the first episode a while back and I liked it, really plan on catching up to the last episode this weekend. Looks pretty good, a bit cliche but all shows are like that really.

From my understanding, as a servant, her freedom is limited.
Her goal was to change the past so that the destruction of her country would not occur. To do so, she needed the Grail, and she fought with that in mind. + Show Spoiler [F/Z] +Masters have no real control over their servants outside the threat of the command seals. For the most part, Saber acted as she pleased. If Kiritsugu were really interested in limiting her freedom, he could have forced her to abandon all semblance of honor. But he wants nothing to do with her anyways, so he didn't.
The part that gets really me about F/Z saber is how she spends all this time espousing the virtues of honor and whatnot. And then she still kills Lancelot despite how she wronged him (in her mind), and in a dishonorable fashion to boot. In the end, she tries to justify this using Kiritsugu style logic, which she has been hating on for the entirety of the work.
And then come F/SN, she's the exact same as before! You would think she'd have thought this stuff through after spending all that time dying after Camlann. In fairness though, the existence of the prequel does muddy the waters somewhat. F/Z I think kinda clashed with what they presented in SN when it comes to her personality. You bring up Lancelot but he WANTED her to kill him and how was the method she killed him dishonorable? He attacked her and they fought straight up while she was in emotional turmoil because his presence brought up everything Rider was talking about. I agree though that she seemed somewhat UP for what she was hyped to be, but then again her master had an entirely independent and different method of fighting so she devoted much of her time to helping and protecting Iri because she believed in what they fed her "for the greater good" bullshit that they kept going on about. Once she saw his true nature she was pissed (though I agree when that happened IE how he killed Kayneth she probably should of had a stronger reaction). In the end she couldn't do anything because she was forced by command seals. She would have probably been a lot stronger if they didn't take her sheath for themselves since it has OP healing powers. She played a very conservative game and didn't push hard enough for one of her supposedly strong convictions but then again she ended up questioning her ideology for most of the show.
+ Show Spoiler [F/Z] +It wasn't a straight up fight. The majority of the fight was Saber getting her ass handed to her because of guilt and whatnot. Then Lancelot runs out of prana and she runs him through. The reason I call this dishonorable is because it runs contrary to her idea of honorable battle - a test of skill between two equals (her initial fight with Diarmuid, for instance). She merely finished Lancelot in his moment of weakness.
Lancelot himself wanted her to punish him for his misdeeds, yes, but that isn't how she felt. Saber felt guilty about what she did to Lancelot because he basically took the fall for her own lies. After all, the affair between him and Guinevere may not have occurred had Saber chosen to reveal her gender. To her, it was the right, kingly thing to do, and being confronted by a living manifestation of hatred based on said decision - Berserker - screwed with her in a big way.

Her goal was to change the past so that the destruction of her country would not occur. For the most part, Saber acted as she pleased. If Kiritsugu were really interested in limiting her freedom, he could have forced her to abandon all semblance of honor. But he wants nothing to do with her anyways, so he didn't.
The part that gets really me about F/Z saber is how she spends all this time espousing the virtues of honor and whatnot. And then she still kills Lancelot despite how she wronged him (in her mind), and in a dishonorable fashion to boot. In the end, she tries to justify this using Kiritsugu style logic, which she has been hating on for the entirety of the work.
And then come F/SN, she's the exact same as before! You would think she'd have thought this stuff through after spending all that time dying after Camlann. In fairness though, the existence of the prequel does muddy the waters somewhat. F/Z I think kinda clashed with what they presented in SN when it comes to her personality. You bring up Lancelot but he WANTED her to kill him and how was the method she killed him dishonorable? He attacked her and they fought straight up while she was in emotional turmoil because his presence brought up everything Rider was talking about. I agree though that she seemed somewhat UP for what she was hyped to be, but then again her master had an entirely independent and different method of fighting so she devoted much of her time to helping and protecting Iri because she believed in what they fed her "for the greater good" bullshit that they kept going on about. Once she saw his true nature she was pissed (though I agree when that happened IE how he killed Kayneth she probably should of had a stronger reaction). In the end she couldn't do anything because she was forced by command seals. She would have probably been a lot stronger if they didn't take her sheath for themselves since it has OP healing powers. She played a very conservative game and didn't push hard enough for one of her supposedly strong convictions but then again she ended up questioning her ideology for most of the show. + Show Spoiler [F/Z] +It wasn't a straight up fight. The majority of the fight was Saber getting her ass handed to her because of guilt and whatnot. Then Lancelot runs out of prana and she runs him through. The reason I call this dishonorable is because it runs contrary to her idea of honorable battle - a test of skill between two equals (her initial fight with Diarmuid, for instance). She merely finished Lancelot in his moment of weakness.
Lancelot himself wanted her to punish him for his misdeeds, yes, but that isn't how she felt. Saber felt guilty about what she did to Lancelot because he basically took the fall for her own lies. After all, the affair between him and Guinevere may not have occurred had Saber chosen to reveal her gender. To her, it was the right, kingly thing to do, and being confronted by a living manifestation of hatred based on said decision - Berserker - screwed with her in a big way.
It was still a fair fight, she just outlasted him and iirc he was in the middle of taking a swing at her when she countered.

To them, this is so serious yet Menma was happy most times(Cried couple). It was in stark contract to the idea that she should be completely sad since she died. Her mother breaking down when they talked about the fireworks was so moving. 10 years and she still remembers. Time was frozen to her, must've been rough :'( It must also been rough for her son and husband seeing as the family wasn't as close and such after that.
I guess my point is, I loved the show, was happy that they all got a chance to confess and also to tell Menma how much they loved her especially Jintan who I feel should've been the first to tell her that he loves her, marriage type of love. I thought the ending was spot on and nice to see everyone back together and trying to improve themselves. Still a bit sad that now that she is gone since even if she is reincarnated, the age difference between them would be huge so even if they find each other somehow(she remember names if reincarnated), it won't be the same anymore. I feel that just saying that she wants to rest in peace and how much she loved them then leaving it at that might've been as good or better of an ending. Anyone else thought the same?. While she may not have any family none that we see (though in the first episode you can see her mom went to cheer for her at the concert), Haruki doesn't have any family to speak of either, her mom seems to be MIA from episode 1, all we know is that she exists because she left that note about dinner. But I don't think Haruki is that forward to be honest, I doubt he'll see her being in the hospital as an "opportunity" to do anything but take care of her which I doubt she'll do without Setsuna 99% of the time. But I could be wrong so we'll see next week. For now I think Setsuna will make an effort to get closer to Touma and finally get her to call her by her first name , we'll see how that works out for her. I really do think she's making an effort to get close to Touma while obviously liking Haruki. Also there's one thing I wanted to ask, you remember when Setsuna and Touma were together in the music room in episode 4 when Setsuna asks her when they will be able to practice together and Touma says the weekend, Setsuna has this odd look for a second after Touma said that.. Am I looking too into it or do you think that look means anything?. They do sort of hint at Setsuna being overly fake sometimes, and there she had that odd look and then replied with a happy looking face suddenly. I don't think Haruki ever implied anything as lovers or otherwise with that, just that he'll stick around in her life no matter what unless she doesn't want him to be there any more, which is nice but again if Setsuna doesn't want him he's free to go :o. I don't think we'll see anything ROMANTIC like kisses or any advancements until after the concert, I think that's how they are handling things, once they open that can of worms is gonna get ugly so I think they are taking their time with that. I don't think any type of reincarnation would have been good for the show or even a little realistic, though I guess that ship sailed when a ghost came back to visit her friends 10 years later <.<. BUT STILL, it would have been odd. I was 100% happy with that ending, it was just a beautiful thing coming to an ending that was perfect. That's why I love rewatching that show, it just feels like such a wonderful story and it ends in such a way that I'm left satisfied after I finish. I love Menma's character so much so I was never in a position to dislike her like I do Taiga haha, I mean who wouldn't love a girl like that? I felt bad the redhead was kind of left out and didn't have Jintan's attention but that's how shit was with Menma around, same for the other girl. Everyone was just drawn to Menma because of the way she was. I really look forward to that movie they made, want to watch it already, seems to have quite a bit of new footage so I would like to see if any new relationships flourished during that time if it's been long enough since Menma disappeared.

Heck, I felt crushed just hearing the story and seeing their pain. God, such a depressing thought >< Cried towards the end since I knew that she will depart soon enough and they won't see her again. Since the ending was what I had in mind, I would've been even sadder than Toradora :/ I loved Menma's character as well. I couldn't tell why they went all white but I think it was supposed to resemble purity. The way she acted with Jintan and such, so close. How everyone was torn apart by the incident and never spoke of it again. Getting goosebumps just writing this >.> I liked how as you mentioned, she was the happy kid. Always cheered everyone and never thought about hurting anyone even after she was told they are going after Jintan. I mean, you can't get any purer than that. The fact that they all still love her after all this time just shows what a wonderful person she was. yes, agree. Reincarnation wasn't a good idea for the show. I'm just thinking if things continued after, even if reincarnated, I doubt she'll remember them and that makes me sad cmon, I love Menma's character as well. Thing with Toradora, even those the ending was a bit underwhelming, I know and pretty confident that they will continue things as they left them after she came back. In Anohana, it can't be continued Menma is gone! That's it! It's over! They will only be able to cherish the memories. It helped them to face their guilt and move on and they all at least got to speak to Menma and tell her how much they loved her but SHE'S GONE FOR GOOD! Somethings never work out like you want them to. Both Anaru and Yukiatsu were left out but that's because Jintan and Menma were so close as kids and loved each other even though they never said it directly. Yes, I look forward to movie as well. When is it coming out(I know it came Oct 29 or so in Jap)?

We got Iona at the start, Takao now Haruna's turn. I'm not sure Kirishima will change so soon though. Seems fully dedicated to the fog while Haruna isn't as willing anymore. Nice to see the small developments so far. Excited for next episode. Hope Haruna beats them good! :D

Little Busters Refrain Episode 5
+ Show Spoiler +So Kyousuke was behind each objective he gave Rin and Riki which I kind of guessed already. Riki knows his relationship with Rin is more of Rin depending on him for stuff but knows Rin doesn't love him. That's why this random exchange program was introduced so Rin can grow as a person even though they have not really mentioned this bus accident school before at all. Really weird or just a cop out IMO.
All the girls that left last episode have not reappeared which is odd. I think everyone will keep "disappearing" until its Rin and Riki remain. Hints were Masato saying even though he had an opinion he wouldn't say anything instead of him usually yell out whatever he thinks.
That and I don't know if Kyousuke leaving him at the end of the episode means anything. Also I'm still waiting for some super natural shit to happen about "the secret of the world". If Kurugaya can do it then Kyousuke can absolutely do it.
I wonder how the EX episodes are going to be like; 8 episodes 3 new girls that's not a lot of time for each arc.

I'm going to guess that with how they chose to show Lawrence that he's not going to make some heroic stand to help Makie, Haruna is just going to cake walk it out but also there will be no berserk and hence no Admiralty Code. I can't remember if they've mentioned the Admiralty Code in the anime, but it wouldn't surprise me if they leave out that part of the story.
I wonder if we're going to get to see Gunzo mama though, seeing as how the design child PM hasn't been introduced, unless they're playing a 'woops, that back-up child was made'. I hope less Gunzo mama won't mean less tsundere boat.
EDIT: I just realised the seiyu for Gunzo and Kongou are the pair that did Lelouch and C.C.; alas so far there's been no more interaction between them but now I'm holding out for that kuudere boat.

EX are not going to be animated in this season. It's going to be part of an OVA. You'll just have to wait for the secret of the world to be revealed.

I buy External HD to store my anime in. I have around 1-1.5 Terabyte of anime stored. I delete animes I don't like after watching. But otherwise, I keep most of them.

Speaking of keeping anime, How much anime do you buy? Personally for me I only buy the ones that would fall in the top 25% of my favorites just because of cost and I feel like there can be a big difference in liking a series and liking it enough where you can re-watch it a decent amount of times.

Watched a bit of IS last night:
+ Show Spoiler +Got more than halfway through and made it to the beginning of the group fights. I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Love all the characters. Alcott's attack on Ichika early on about how he's an amateur, bad etc... was interesting and seemed random. Rin joining made for some good moments but I feel so bad for her though. I mean, it's almost obvious that Ichiko and Houki will get together or something at the end and with her wanting to be with Ichika, well, doesn't bode well for her Hoping that somehow she gets with him though. She seems sweet although I can't help but feel that she's essentially Taiga with the way she acts and even a bit of the looks. Either way, hope that at the minimum, she gets with him for a bit. Would kill Alcott and Houki to see it lol. Charles joining was good too and I had a feeling that he's a girl disguised as a boy lol. I mean, it was that obvious with how she was acting XD Wonder how long the secret will hold though. She's taking advantage of Ichika although he has yet to notice Laura is one badass character though. Beating both Alcott and Rin at the same time while holding off Ichika and Charles' attacks. + Show Spoiler +I actually thought that maybe, just maybe another guy can pilot an IS when he showed up but then so many different things tipped me off that Charles is not male lol. Now now, aren't you being a bit biased? lol. Charles&Laura have unique personality and aren't over Ichika like Houki, Alcott and Rin are but those three can be a bit more entertaining imo. For me, it's like this: Rin = Charles = (or very close to) Laura > Houki > Alcott. I like Laura's attitude and same with Charles. Rin's attitude is ok and typical of other animes but you need characters like that Btw just saying that what I think, not that you're wrong since are discussing opinions lol.
That's what I think though lol. Maybe something interesting happens in the episodes I haven't seen yet, makes me exited to watch XD
