Just looked that Dunbine show and it looks like it might be pretty good. I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

Dunbine is supposed to be a good, fantasy kill'em all Tomino show. I'm sure it will be worth the watch.

*prepares for ScansEU mocking* We were telling Kaze to go miracle up a copy, but I think the short should be included for that Takeuchi artbook releasing late Oct. Edit - Doublechecked just now, artbook only an artbook, it just includes that manga that came w/ mirai fukuin. So I guess we'll have to wait till they publish that last bit of writing. That or slavedrive Kaze. orz I'm planning to go asap but the first few days involve suffering a million legal documents. Don't think I can actually miracle a copy but I'll try.
Actually I saw the premise and was just like not sure if I want to read. Was going to go through it on principle of it being Tanaka Romeo butttttt

Sadly that wasn't the case and mecha porn didn't take as much time as it could've. Also not reading manga never pays. While I had higher expectations (foolish I know) of Haganai I still enjoyed it and would watch a third session. I'd say it has potential to change pace based on the later episodes of the second season (to something more like the name would imply, actual social/friend stuff), but I rather doubt that'd actually happen. Also need more servant x service. That show was great. To the best of my knowledge, it just turns into a harem where the MC denies having a harem in spite of having one. What is a parody and social stuff?
Last few episodes of the second season where Rika becomes the focus. It doesn't get too deep, but it's a pretty noticeable shift in focus.

Anyone know how far ahead Otoshimono manga is from the S2 anime?

Mmm I think its far enough a head where they could do a S3 right now. Its on break atm and the next chapter won't come out until december tho
It does get a lot darker when they start to interact more with Synapse and some of the other characters and reveals that come from that. Right now it all depends on the author what way he wants to continue, he could go for the "everything works out" type or basically make it pretty freaking sad. There is also a lot of interesting connections that have been made from some of the early elements so it should be cool to see how it shakes out.
afaik there are some significant differences between the anime and the manga (especially when it comes to how S2 ended)
