LoGH is great and my favorite anime, but I only consider it "honorary mecha", so I won't include it. I'd throw Robotech, Gundam SEED, Turn A, Zeta, Gunbuster, Getter Robo Armageddon, Shin Mazinger, Giant Robo, GaoGaiGar, and Escaflowne in my top 10 list. I feel like Patlabor should be in there too, but making a top 10 is harder than I thought. Anyway, you can probably see why I refrain from posting in lots of /m/ threads with two of those favorites I just listed lol FMP is good/solid, but not top-10 worth IMO... Unless you are talking about the LNs. Everything in the LNs that happens after the anime ended is better than what was animated. | ||

When Tomino says he wants to outdo Eva with his own series Brain Powerd (which kinda failed), it speaks a lot. | ||

Infact Tomino denies any connection between the two, but knew they would be compared. Because biological mecha. In reality the two series are VERY different. Also, Gundam Wing sucks unless you are like a 13 year old in middle school. Which is the target audience, so w/e. Gundam Wing is a good example of why lots of plot twists don't make for a good plot. | ||
