I come here to share this awesome PV but i remember why did i stop posting here in the first place, so yes i just used that 'real life super robot' term in an obviously joking manner (because that term doesn't make the slightest sense in some people's mecha dictionary) but I expect to get ganked by some butthurtpeople here, not that i give a damn anyway because i am here just for sharing this awesome video.

From what I remember, in the manga both Nanas leave their husbands, one leaves Japan, and in the very last chapter (before the hiatus) the other is going after her because she "loves her".

So I just did some math on Golgo 13 dodging a bullet in that one scene where he's in an elevator where a guy tries to kill him by shooting through their own body to try to take him off guard. I am now 100% sure that a more absurd Gary Stu is actually impossible.
Assuming that the bullet is 9mm, the distance the bullet traveled was 6ft+ Show Spoiler +

Since he's pretty built, he probably weighs something like 250lbs. That means he would have had to exert about 250,000N or 56,000lbs to move himself in that short of a time gap. If he stuck his fist out and hit someone while doing that it would feel like a dump truck just hit them.

To who never watched the original, this is a sci-fi anime from the 70s/early 80s that use naval inspiration. You get explosion and flames in space etc, but this is for stylistics reasons. Space BattleShip Yamato was aired in USA with the name Starblazers. The success of Star Wars made possible to import space theme animes.
Yamato success in Japan declined in early 80s, when animes about mech (like Robotech and Gundam) become popular. But your influence was very important.
Yamato 2199 is the name of remake from the original first season of 1974 (Quest to Iscandar). And is gorgeous. Imagine everything doing right in a ramake. Main story, style and music keep, but modernized. The detail of ships is great. And I think is one of rare animes where you don´t get teenagers as the main characteres.
For Starcraft people, the Yamato Gun from the Battlecruiser is a homage to the main Yamato weapon, who fire a large energy beam after a time charging.
The anime was not yet release outside of Japan. Your only option is overprice japanese blu-ray or alternatives downloads, until an official release.

Edit: Btw how come it seems like sites like Crunchy Roll get the anime that comes out very unevenly? Like they have some this season that are updating right away while others (like Monogatari) they haven't started to upload yet. Is it due to licensing issues for different production companies?
