Honey & Clover pops to my mind the moment I think "anime" and "good music". Could someone recommend me a good, fresh anime series akin to FMP Fumoffu, School Rumble, Dokuro-chan and such? The jpg at the top of the topic seems fairly outdated and I've seen all of the comedy animes listed there. I've been getting into anime again after a looong brake, but I found most series no to suit my tastes at all. From the newer ones, I've seen Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu and I had a good time (mostly). The comedy with this subtle perversion aspect akways worked well in animes, imo. The fact that it did not treat itself too seriously helped as well. Anything noteworthy, guys?

Baka to Test 2nd season? Arakawa Under the bridge Kore wa Zombies is OK, have some good parts and some not so much Natsu no Arashi manga was better but anime was more lighthearted (Shinbo) One anime that very few people know about but many those do loves, despite it's pretty obvious flaws, is Futakoi Alternative, it's one of the early work by UFOTable. Or you can go Urusei Yatsura if you never saw that, still holding up fairly well. I love Honey & Clover, but music is not the first thing I think of about that show. The OP/ED were great though. Paradise Kiss (I always think of them together as it aired in the same slot right after H&C, and it's rather similar) did have great music. Another show that's kind of undervalued IMO with great music is Witch Hunter Robin. I will never miss an excuse to link this:

Doesn't help that she was best girl in my book. Getting fingers and hands in the mail is never fun... Regarding music from anime, Horizon has a great OST.

I've never heard of Arakawa Under the Bridge. It looks decent, I will most certainly give it a go. As for Natsu no Arashi, I usually can't stand the supernatural stuff if it's too big of a central theme. How is it in this case? Thanks for the recommendations so far ![]() It's more of a plot device rather than the theme in Natsu no Arashi, they never attempted to make sense of it or explain it pretty much. Added Futakoi Alternative to rec, it's not for everyone's taste but great in its unique way.

Never disappoints. | ||

There also parts which are surprisingly entertaining for a kids show, maybe because I didn't actually watch all the episodes, only the interesting ones.

Chiho-chan manages to break the mold of the "typical energetic heroines" that we have seen in anime lately, which can get redundant and annoying. But literally every thing she does is so cute. Chi-chan desuu~~~ kawaii desuyonaaiii~ edit: Houki is best girl. And Horizon S1/S2 OST is the shit.
