A lot of things get explained especially at the end. The only episode that really threw me off was ep 15, the game show one. But I actually thought the same as Daze that I was wondering what the whole purpose/point of the show was. Even after finishing it I still have that feeling. I do agree that Pino is so cute in it and I always liked Mayer's character design because of her resemblance to Amy Lee. | ||

Never watched the anime, but the manga has good pacing and most of the characters get really good development. There was a ~5 chapter bit where it kinda sucked because the author was sick or something and the quality suffered, but he's back in his groove in the current chapters. I always loved the art style in it too. There's a lot of gory manga out there, but in DW it always felt like an addition to the art rather than a shock tactic (Gantz feels like this too often). | ||

I actually read the plot summary when I saw the anime in this season's list, and went ahead and just read the whole manga. It seemed to me like the kind of story you'd want to experience in manga and pass on the anime. | ||

Atmosphere. The individual episodes that have little to do with the story and have more to do with making tangential points are leaps and bounds more interesting than the actual plot, which is just kind of boring and uninteresting since the characters themselves aren't particularly engaging. | ||
