Its an old anime so at first you might not like how the animation looks, old quality u know. But if u stay with it you'll get used to it. GTO is probably the funniest anime ive ever seen and imo you cant watch anime without have seeing atleast that series Only other series ive watched that made me laugh just as much is maybe Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu (think thats how u spell it).
Oh yeah I really don't care if the animation is too bad =P. All that I really care about is quality and nice story line. But yeah once I'm done with Full Metal Alchemist and I start watching FMA:Brother Hood (I think that's what its called) I'll watch some other anime you listed too.

You really should just watch FMA: Brotherhood and skip the original FMA all together. Unless you really really want to see the nonsensical, non-canon plot in the second half of FMA.

Guess I'm the only Index fan, judging from the comments.

It's because those are the only 2 mecha series you've seen. 00 is pretty mediocre too with things very obviously rushed.
I have seen all the episodes, none of the characters change or do anything contrary to their slotted roles in all 26 episodes.
Naruto is rated at 7-ish, and have Clannad-AS above Samurai X, Geass S1 under S2...so take that as you wish.
Texhnolyze's ending wasn't bad considering who made it (Lain V2 prz).

Well, it's not like we all hate the Index anime. It's watchable, but it's just not that great. I'm personally just waiting for them to get to the epic stuff later on in the series.

I liked Texhnolyze's ending actually. It was just really sad
Gundam 00 was very sloppy in Season 2, but towards the middle of Season 1 and until the end of Season 1, I really liked it.

If you're going to say "spoiled" by 00 and Heroic Age, then yes. 00 was watch-able because of the shitfest before it (in addition to the strong ending of S1), Seed and Seed Destiny. Let's put it this way, go watch the Gundam Unicorn OAV 1 and compare. And that's on the tail end of the "good" Gundam time line.
Last edit, 00 is weak namely because of the concept of Celestial Being. even Seed and Seed Destiny had strong mid-series episodes because of the notion that the characters weren't outside of the faction system they were struggling against. CB automatically jumped all of that and made it extremely awkward plot-wise watching little kids struggle with themselves in a disjointed fashion in the main story line (5 main characters in 00 versus 2 main in Seed).

UC FTW
I still need to finish ZZ :|
as a side note I'm dling Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Hopefully this anime is as epic as people would have me believe :D

Where do u get 00 from. I never mentioned anything about it. And Gundam SEED is the only gundam series ive ever completely finished becuase it was awesome. I only got through like first half of the first season from 00 before shutting it off -_-.
Heroic Age however, i dont remember much about it.. as i tend to watch multiple series at once and in one sittings. All i do remember is that i enjoyed it alot. No need to start flaming because my preference tend to be a bit difference from urs -_-. Or atleast read a bit more of the thread before flame.

You're missing out if you have only finished SEED, and dropped 00 before the second half (which is where the series actually took off IMO). Lots of good gundams out there :<
|
Yeh i get told that alot, however none of them ever really caught my interest. I did watch i think 2 of the older movies, forgot which ones they were though. Twas a long time ago =\

Where are you getting the flaming? I told you why it was bad and why people don't like it, I doubt I am alone here. I am not sitting here trolling you. You just said yourself that you don't remember much about it, except that it was good => hardly memorable stuff or characters. I remember why I was watching it, one Shinsen was subbing it, two there was nothing else I would watch going on at the time, three I was already 10+ episodes in.
My bad on the 00 though, thought it was your quote from earlier, but SEED...had good mecha designs (even if it rehashed the old ones).

Anyways, im a anime nerd that got offended by ur statement of "cuz those are the only 2 mecha u've seen". From watching series like Robotech and Macross i felt a bit defensive. Your explanation of why it was bad wasnt what bothered me, i could care less bout that. Considering thats what this thread about.
So i apologize if i came back a little hard as well -_-

Ok, really starting to hate Full Metal Alchemist now lol.
I'm still on episode 26 and I didn't get used to all the deaths. -_-. Its constantly someone dying and making me depressed but its such a good show I can't stop watching. fml

FMA? Depressing? Gosh, someone go dig up the page where we started listing all these happy animes and post them all over again here please.
|
Lol was thinking same thing Ecael, too lazy for that though

My favorite nowadays has got to be either the Hellsing OVAs, which sucks because they take soooooo long to come out, or Toaru Majutsu no Index. Unfortunately both it and all time favorite D Gray Man both end too soon! I know the manga goes on for Index, but my D Gray just has no ending.......

holy shit Shigurui is really good, i like samurai anime but that are not fucking ridiculous like Ninja Scroll.
