If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg
For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

It's a lot more lighthearted and there are a lot more characters that appear more often since the plot is generally set in same "area". ALso features a much more fleshed out main character and the best fucking cat in the universe. Still need to buy a Nyanko-sensei plush. =(

On top of Natsume I'd recommend Sakamichi no Apollon. It is not as good as Natsume, but it has the same lighhearted feel (due to art and story) to it and also includes some love and drama =)
So I don't watch much anime but a friend recommended Sword Art Online to me and it's really good. Has anyone else seen this and can anyone recommend something similar?

The .hack series is pretty similar, granted not as good. I think .hack is influenced by the masterpiece of SAO, so it has similar themes but just doesn't execute as well and is much more lighthearted than SAO. Even so, if you like SAO, you will probably enjoy .hack.
guess they ran out of drama for mc so now they need to introduce some weird crap. borderline ntr if only because it's so borderline harem, even though it's *supposedly* just mc and one girl

God, who fucking cares with this shit anymore. Stories have been trash aside from him getting laid.
Assassination Classroom was good this week. The characters are funny, but they really need a big storyline soon. Same for Nisekoi, but I still like Onodera over Chitoge.

hahahaha yeah indeed. >.<
Nice to see Liar Game continuing for the last few weeks, though I've kind of lost track of some of the narrative points or will forget stuff between installments anyway
Just a heads up: for this week's TLADT movie night I'll be streaming Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi) tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 9 PM EST (GMT -5).
It went something like this: Sereal wanted to watch You Are Umasou, but she didn't want to download it, so I offered to stream it. That was two Sundays ago. Apparently she had some exam on Monday or Tuesday I don't remember which so I said OK we'll stream Tuesday night. Then I asked in thread to see what times would be good for other people if they wanted to watch, read responses, and arbitrarily picked a time. Turns out Sereal couldn't watch at that time, but she saw the VOD later and we ended up with 20+ people watching You Are Umasou together so I think it was a success.
If we actually make this into a regular thing (maybe not weekly but just habitual) I propose moving it to the weekend. Tuesday nights are good for me at the moment but schedules will change and for those of us in school, hw/exams may get in the way on occasion. Weekends are easier to plan for and better for procrastination
