I also feel much more easily immersed by paper rather than a lit, electronic screen.. So basically, when reading a horror book, you cut yourself off from other distractions. But for some reason you don't want to do the same thing with horror manga, and then blame your choice for not doing that (closing other tabs/etc etc) for your lack of immersion.

As long as you can read intellectually, your brain serves as your own personal lamp.

To me it was a totally unexpected barrage of wafuus.
It was super effective.
edit:
I finished Mushishi. It was great, especially considering how episodic it was, I really enjoyed the vast majority of the stories. I liked how you never knew if it was going to be a sad or happy ending, or something in between. And as mentioned, it had great music. I wish there was more of it.
Now, then, now I have no clue of what to watch ;/

I might check out natsume yuujinchou, though maybe it's a bit... too similar to Mushishi, I don't think I should overdose on the same thing

I've already watched it. Was bloody confusing at times, but at large I liked it.
Hm, if I may make some sort of request, I'd love something that has two interesting main characters with interesting interactions/talks between them. Examples could be Black Lagoon (Rock and Revy), or Spice and Wolf. Maybe a bit too general of a request, heh.

^ You havent seen Gankutsuou? Try that.
Also holy fuck heavens feel is way different then the other two routes. I didnt think much of the fate route and the UBW route was fine but it didnt impress me like it did some people. But this route is turning out really interesting so far!

Watch Natsume Yuujinchou, Maxie! It is the one of only two anime I've watched that comes close to the godlike awesome of Mushishi, especially s2. It's a lot more lighthearted and there are a lot more characters that appear more often since the plot is generally set in same "area". ALso features a much more fleshed out main character and the best fucking cat in the universe. Still need to buy a Nyanko-sensei plush. =(

Can't quite make up my mind on how I feel about yasashii sekai no tsukurikata. Art is good though.

Speaking of which, I should catch up on Otoyomegatari sometime.

I just don't know if I like the idea of that kind of a triangular relationship on top of a pretty bs looking past trauma.
But it is pretty so I might as well as keep reading.

I mean smart as in addressing the problem of geniuses and whatnot. I don't really expect real physics talk from the mangaka, lol. The reaction of the mother is just waaaay too bizarre to accept though.

So what you're saying spazer
is that Nishio Ishin/Nasu Kinoko the author is not.

I am too lazy to go download the raws so I can only say based on what I saw on scanlation sites so far but the reaction might be reasonable yet, maybe. At least I didn't mind the whole thing with Kurisu in s;g and that was rather close to this.
The story hints at problems of that kind but never really goes into anything, I imagine it'll get limited to the girl, his family issues and research and then end at that. Things about the MC himself probably won't really come up. So basically even zettai karen children will do a better job than this

Otoyomegatari has great graphic but the story... well it's like a history channel documentary without all the cool part
Definitely not Emma
