Off-model animation makes its (not so) triumphant return in full force! Seriously, it's as if the animation team spontaneously died overnight or something. Particularly hilarious is the fact that Saki and Shun look completely different in the end scene compared to the rest of the episode.

And then the episode itself. What the hell. I mean sure, the Bonobo stuff can be used to explain all the sudden homosexual relationship development, but introducing all this after a timeskip is just laughable. I wouldn't have minded so much had they taken the time to actually explain how these relationships came to be. And why is it the focus of the episode? Pure shock value?

Good writing? What's that?

So the father lives in a modern city, but wants Subaru to give up robotics and become a fisherman. Yeah, ok. Bonus points for smashing the robot in the most cliche (and hilarious) Heel moment I've seen in a while. Should've roasted Subaru's pet dog in the incinerator instead.

Ten bucks says we'll get an awful tearjerker moment when they reveal that his mother is dead (perhaps from robots!? :O) or whatever.

Dat tongue action omg! So are we purposely left out on what happened when they got back to the village, is it something that's implied, or are they filling in gaps later... Feels so weird to jump into this so suddenly and it's omg kiss/touch/love.

Ignoring the sudden homo pairings explained by bobobobo the episode was fine.. the last few minutes at least.

Reuenthal's revolt, Lutz and Kessler being badasses, and the final battle at Iserlohn were all great. How can you call that stuff dull? Reuenthal's death was the 2nd saddest part of the entire show.
