Rebuild is completely watchable without having watched the original series. The first movie is more or less a prettier retelling of the first half of the TV series, but the 2nd goes on its own plot. It adapts starting from Ending Day by Day (the stuff that made up The Second Raid), and then more or less follows the LNs. I don't think its finished yet, but it should be getting close to Always, Stand By Me (the last LN). Although iiirc, Sigma didn't include Dancing Very Merry Christmas. | ||
