Hmm, having her body language shown makes her much more tolerable, IMO, because they went through great pains to make her more cute overall. By contrast the still CG in the VN leaves much to be desired, resulting in this bizarre blond loli with an an annoying voice.
Trust and Betrayal is a blindingly amazing mix of art and one of the better story arcs to come out of manga in a long time. It's a bit slow, so don't watch it if you're expecting a standard samurai action piece, but if you're looking for great characterization, amazing art that stands up today still, and the type of atmosphere you rarely see outside of arthouse flicks, it's one of the best things you can watch.

Fuck yes it's a masterpiece. People like to tout their little girls with magic wands in here, but as far as melodrama goes, Japan doesn't get better than this.
Trust and Betrayal was good, I dont know about melodramatic.

In other words, Southlight really loves Komari. The VN left him wanting so much more from his beloved Komari, and it is only now in anime form that he can experience her supposed greatness.
I thought VN was much more bearable because you can actually cut off all her lines if you read fast enough. Or you can turn off her voice completely if you really can't stand it (luckily her route is relatively short). Although, I have to say I really like how they are focusing on Komari-Rin relationship since that's pretty significant to Rin's growth.

Sorry you probably meant to talk about Echomari, not me. I do love KomaRin though. :3

What's disgusting about it? ): There's a large difference between loli and DFC imo.
Anyway, started catching up on SAO... it's not that bad as long as you don't take it seriously, lol. Though GGO (or whichever one it is that is after SAO) might be terrible. We'll see.

Can't they just make like 5 different Rin routes (and one Kud route) instead in the anime? That would make me happy.
Tbh SAO this far isn't too terrible. Can't help but weep over the lost potential with the setting though. Also is it just me or is Kajiura slacking a little with SAO OST? I can swear that I've heard a track or two that is 99% like a track from F/Z.
