That's why I enjoy watching cosplayers and laugh at their retardedness Unless they look pretty/cool. Btw, in terms of random comedy: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei > Cromartie High > Gintama I can't even laugh...it honestly makes me feel ashamed for sharing an interest with them. -____-;; My friend sent me this site... http://cosplay.com/ If you need a quick boost in self-confidence, check that out. I feel like a complete asshole, but it's absolutely mind-boggling. They do it to have fun and garner a bit of attention. It's like having a key-chain on your bag that the people who share an interest with you will connect with. The same reason why you and I wear a T1 Adidas shirt in public, or a Stimpack shirt. In the end, Cosplayers are just regular people like you and I who just want a bit of fun like at a halloween party where you dress up. Instead of Halloween, it's an anime convention. Seriously, its nothing to get a sudden urge of violence over. I don't get urges to beat up cosplayers. They do their own thing on their own time in their own places. I, however, cannot understand why that would really be fun, modeling yourself after a cartoon as a hobby...but that's just me on a personal level. I can understand why people would dress up for conventions and whatnot, but as a regular thing you do in your spare time...I couldn't. Carrying around a naruto headband thing, however, is a different story. There is a huge difference between having an SKT1 key chain on my backpack and having a naruto headband on my backpack: it is not weird to have a keychain on your backpack. It is weird to have a headband on your backpack. I would also not wear a stimpack shirt...but I guess that's beside the point. I don't think it's bad to wear an anime shirt...I don't think it'll really get you any attention from the opposite sex, but I guess they feel the same pleasure from wearing anime shirts as I do from wearing band shirts (my wardrobe is like 90% band shirts). I don't have a problem with shirts, or keychains, or wearing costumes at conventions. I have a problem with people walking around in public doing embarrassing things that further stigmatize and taboo an interest that I have. I can't stand that it's considered dorky and lame to watch anime. I love anime. I love talking about anime, and I think it's fun. However, as a person who has a life full of people that don't necessarily share interests as me, it's annoying to see people do such eyebrow-raising things. Again, I admit that it doesn't really affect me, as I doubt people I know or come across would really look at me any differently...but the principle and thought remains annoying.

I watched the anime 2 times and read the manga like 4 times, really good stuff, heck I think I might rewatch it now. Awesome stuff. I was reccomended Vagabond and Blade of the immortal for seinen manga many times before, I only read 1 volume and did not read much more,I will give it another shot. Also Im sorry but I forgot to mention one of my favorites: I loved Kino's Journey too. To think of it, a light comedy wont be so bad, the ones I liked on the top of my head were GTO, School Rumble, Cromartie, Azumanga Diaoh was ok but not as good as the previous 3.

+ Show Spoiler + In the panic surrounding a worldwide pandemic which kills 15 percent of the population and cripples many more, a secret organization, the Propater, topples the UN and seizes control of much of the world. A boy and a girl, raised in an abandoned virology research center, immune to the virus, are attacked by the Propater and escape. 20 years later the boy is the most powerful drug lord in South America. He aids his son from behind the scenes as he evades and eventually with the help of mercenaries from Nomad (some of them former Propater operatives) fights the Propater. As the plot develops focus shifts away from the main character and develops many sub-plots dedicated to terrorism, Human-improvement, the struggle of the developing countries and the power battles between the drug cartels and Propater. Based strongly on Gnostic mythology, all major characters are named after gnostic deities, and have analogous roles. Jiraishin/Ice Blade is a good detective manga, if that's your thing. I really liked it, though the last volume was kind of a let down ![]() I've also finished reading Shin Angyo Onshi/Blade of the Phantom Master recently, and I thought it was pretty good too. A bit slow at the start where it's the main character pulling out godmode summons, but once it delves into backstory it gets much stronger. Reminds me a bit of Berserk, too.

I endorse this entire thing lol. Eden is great, I need to get caught up on that. I go to mangatraders for volume-downloads. Claymore manga is pretty good, the manga he did before (Angel Densetsu) is pretty funny, and it was cool seeing his art style get better as the manga went on so read that if you want some light humor. Ares is a korean manhwa I really really enjoy. Art style is pretty different, but I like it. + Show Spoiler + It's about a young swordsman whose master was the previous blade-master of the country, and he is looking for revenge on the person who killed his master. He joins up with a mercenary group and it's mostly about the mercenary group actually, and his three closest friends there, with two of them having interesting backgrounds and uh.. one guy who does nothing lol. Blade of the Immortal is a great manga IMO, the plot is sorta weird at first, but later on it get's pretty good. The art is top-notch stuff also. Vagabond I can see how it wouldn't be that interesting to some. It's historical-based, and more like a biography of the guy, there's no major overarching plot other than his life and the people he fights, but it's well adapted and written; the art is great and the fights excellent. If you haven't read Slam Dunk, his previous work, you should read that; good comedy and good characters. Xam'd was interesting, and then the last 2 episodes sorta made me feel like I was trolled the entire first 24 =/ I really did not understand like half of the terms they were throwing around, which was fine at first, but at the end, I was still like "wat. just. happened?!"
