Why is it so funny, why are there only 6 episodes? + Show Spoiler +

I believe it has a short run because it is moving over to make room for black rock shooter and its 9 episode run in the same time slot.
@Sentennal: whatever man. Maybe I am stupid. I gave you too much credit because I thought post count had some Sort of correlation to poster quality. It took me too many pages to realize that you're just a hater on every show because you think not liking things is hip. You watch the shows you "hate", bitch about how they're bad, and then try to shit on everyone who's enjoying it. And then you keep watching and bitch some more. Maybe you just need to stop watching altogether. Say what you want. I've already wasted too much of my time reading your hateful drivel.

You are mad because I give my opinion on shows, make up shit to troll me (derrr he only like gundam), and then post this? Where the hell do I "shit on everyone who's enjoying stuff I don't like"?
Its laughable that a fan of Nisemonogatari, of all things, is saying that I only hate anime I watch, and only hate every show because its 'hip'. Considering that I'm currently following 14 airing anime, and the only ones that I'm not enjoying are Nisemonogatari and ZnT.
OK look. I saw most of it coming. It was already strongly hinted that Gai knew Shu in the past; it was hinted that Shu's sister knew Gai and she was related to Lost Christmas as well as Inori; it was pretty obvious that Gai would die in the series too (because he was too damned smart)...
But Shu's sister (revealed to be called Mana, I think) going on a craze due to the virus that she wants an incestuous relationship with Shu? I bet no one saw THAT coming. What is the point of this development beside shock values?
What I hated the most was how Shu killed Gai. He did not know what Gai was trying to do and blindly followed what he said. This scene is probably the worst written part of the show by far. A typical person will try to find alternatives before resorting in such a strategy, but Shu just went ahead with it - which is a huge head-scratching moment for me.
I think I will probably drop this show. It's getting way too retarded. I can write better script than this.

Mana went insane because of the Virus, right? That likely is the cause of the incest stuff too. Like, lets say that the 'virus' itself had practically taken over Mana. Maybe the 'virus' wants something hidden with Shu? I wouldn't completely rule out some hidden power.
IDK why Shu decided to just stab through Gai, its true that part wasn't well written. But the end result didn't really matter, since Gai was going to die anyway.

OK you have a good point about Shu and that he may be special.
And yes I agree with you on the Gai part (or basically everything after the flashback): 1. Not sure how Gai knew about Shu's "improved power"; 2. Not sure why Shu decided to kill Gai so quickly; 3. Not sure what Gai was trying to achieve by having Shu stabbing Mana *through* him. Surely, he wants Shu to kill Mana, but why through him? Was he just trying to suicide?
Sigh... this show had so much potential at the beginning...

Is it me or are all of Mato's friends emo or something? Both Yuu and Yomi seems to go berserk just because Mato didn't talk to them once....
Mato really needs new friends.
I watched it for the fights. Also i don't know why people say it's hard to follow, they just didn't tell the story in a linear way. It's actually easy to understand the story once you realize this.

It wasn't hard to follow at all. From the start you can tell who is who from their eye colour and their attire (such as Mato's jacket).
But it still bothers me that BRS was killed right at the beginning by someone (not Death Master). After that she was fine. Was this because BRS is immortal? Or is she more like Arcueid who loses some of her power upon death, which promoted her to

Only possible reasons I can think of about stabbing through Gai aren't very good ones. The most obvious would be to put Gai out of his misery, as well as killing Mana. I don't really buy that one though. Maybe it was some symbolism about surpassing Gai? Or leaving behind his past by killing both of them at the same time? I dunno. It wasn't very well written.
But in the end, that part didn't really detract too much from the episode IMO. I still enjoyed it, even if that part wasn't up to par.

-Gai was going to die anyway, and stabbing Mana through him was the quickest way. He (Gai) was stabbed by quite a lot of.. crystal things, finding some convenient gap in them would take a while and cause even more people to die from the virus -Mana probably needed to die because she was the cause of the Apocalypse virus and if she was kept alive the virus would rampage throughout the city -The reason why Shu followed Gai's order instantly and didnt try to think of an alternative was because he semi-returned to his baller self and realized there was no alternative, he had to kill Mana to stop the virus and Gai was dead anyway so.. -Note that not everything about Gai is quite revealed yet. I'm predicting that in between Lost Christmas and the Present time, something happened between Gai and that other kid with the powers that made Gai learn about voids and gain the ability to see them. This is probably also how he knew about Shu's extended powers (since the kid probably had the extended powers from the start).
With how the episodes played out last season, I don't think there is any credible way of bringing the script back to a couple conclusion, especially since we only have 2 episodes for the poor girl.
I think it would actually be more interesting if he kept her friend zoned. Rather than have the MC be lovey dovey with every character, we could have a development in a different direction.
