So Thermae Romae is probably the most oversubbed thing now. gg, nutbladder, whynot, are all subbing it. I think 1 more group is thinking of picking it up as well.

Sent, I was so wrong about Code Geass R2. + Show Spoiler + I was like at EP15 before when I could still understand and try and explain what was happening, but now that I'm at 23 it is god fucking awful. Things just happen and they make no sense at all. I have no idea why Lelouch is doing any of the things he's doing or Suzaku for that matter. The story just moves so fast without explaining anything and... and it's just straight stupid. My god... it's bad.

Yes! Code Geass, my favorite anime of all time, is finally back! However, I have to say that the PV sucks. No real music, no plot introduction. If the animations were good, then I wouldn't care, but even the art is bad. Oh well, definitely looking forward to this one. All hail Lelouch(even though he's not even in this)!

Well, that's because you're not suppose to know anything that's happening from like Ep 22 until the finale.

See!!! First season was ok/good, but then R2 happens! Its like Sunrise was trying to think up ways to troll its audience.

Now I realize that apparently I like that PV more than actual Code Geass fans. Something isn't right here.

That doesn't explain 15-22 then and 22+ makes slightly more sense, but is still idiotic

Maybe R2 just isn't for smart people (or vise versa, maybe R2 just isn't for dumb people :S but I don't think any of you...ok fine, most of you, are stupid). I don't have exactly the nice intelligence that most people want and I could understand everything up until Ep 20 something. AKA too many anime intellectuals in this thread. >.>

Just finished one ep of Thermae Romae, and wtf did I just watch?
Totally not my cup of tea, one to each of his own I guess. That was a kinda painful 13min imo. I was hoping it would get better and surprise me, but it didnt.
+ Show Spoiler [Guilty Crown 12] +Ya, I just went with this episode, didnt pause to question anything new that developed, just went with it. Only thing that kinda bothers me is how Inori is the emodiment of Mana and that Mana is his biological sister.
Okay, okay, okay, okay...

I'll do it later. It takes way too long for me to dig up all of the negative posts about Code Geass when half of them are "I watched CG". Expect this to be a 2k blog post. And I'm saying that all of you are overthinking Code Geass.

Well, that's because you're not suppose to know anything that's happening from like Ep 22 until the finale. That doesn't explain 15-22 then and 22+ makes slightly more sense, but is still idiotic Maybe R2 just isn't for smart people ( or vise versa, maybe R2 just isn't for dumb people :S but I don't think any of you...ok fine, most of you, are stupid). I don't have exactly the nice intelligence that most people want and I could understand everything up until Ep 20 something. Perhaps you could share some of your genius with us, and explain how the last half of the show wasn't bad. I'll do it later. It takes way too long for me to dig up all of the negative posts about Code Geass when half of them are "I watched CG". Expect this to be a 2k blog post. And I'm saying that all of you are overthinking Code Geass. Rewatching parts of ep 15-22 of R2 has reminded myself why I hated it. So I'm looking very forward to this blog post. 2k seems too far away, maybe it should be your 1.5k blog post, or even better 1.2k :D

I dont really mind the fight scene being short but I think there too many shit that was going on in this episode
1. Explaining what happen during lost christmas, 2. Their evil intention to revive Mana, 3. Guy knew Shu when they were little and he wanted to become strong like how shu was, 4. Guy/Triton dies 5. Mana Dies and we barely know her 6. Incest?! Between Mana and Shu?! (ya...i know she was possessed but still) 7. Who the hell is that dude that can also control voids? 8. Guy in love with Mana? 9. Who and wtf is Inori? 10. Shu got new power?! (New King Mode??) 11. Shu mother might not be shu mother?! (Hinted when Gai said "When your new mother took us to Tokyo")
Iono about you guy but I am having trouble processing everything and letting it sink in since the story is jumping here and there and there and there and you get the point. When I found out Triton was Guy I was like OH SHIT. Then I found out OH shit Mana is not Inori but she want Shu babies and wtf incest? Then I found out she a twist Yandere due to the virus and the first one to receive and the virus and then I found out....etc etc
So ugh? Is this the final episode? It says on wikipedia that it goes on to 22 episode but the closing song wasnt the usual closing song. It also seems like a decent place to rest for new season. Watched episode 12, still strongly disagree that its paced too fast. Paced just right IMO.
+ Show Spoiler +Half the entire episode was about their childhood and explaining that stuff, and the rest was present, with Shu's Dad (maybe dad), and Gai's arrival, etc. I don't see the pacing problem. The childhood stuff didn't seem complex. Shuu had a big sister. They find a kid who is revealed to be Guy. They get close. Mana gets the Apocalypse Virus, and goes nuts. This stuff was shown sufficiently to understand it, IMO. Things like "wtf is Inori" are things intentionally left mysterious and unclear, to keep you guessing, but honestly THAT isn't a mystery. They said pretty much flat out that she was a vessel/clone for Mana. WHY she is a clone, and why they need Mana is the question/mystery. It was alluded to that since Mana was the first person with the Apocalypse Virus, maybe she controls it? I dunno, seems to me like thats going to be one of the central driving points in the plot, along with who the other guy who can use Voids is.
There are going to be 10 more episodes.

Totally not my cup of tea, one to each of his own I guess. That was a kinda painful 13min imo. I was hoping it would get better and surprise me, but it didnt.
I thought it was hilarious, it reminded me alot of Cromartie High School (probably not your cup of tea as well lol).
+ Show Spoiler [Brave 10] +Decent episode as I expected. Looking more forward to it but I fear that they might deviate from the manga. But they already did as seen in the preview. Probably no boob shot of Anna.

How did you get Gundam 00 out of that video? IDK what the complaint even is lol. The announced director was the guy who directed Escaflowne and Birdy the Mighty Decode, and has nothing to do with Gundam 00 to my knowledge. Yeah but idunno, it just looks like it's gonna run in a similar fashion. I stopped watching Gundam 00 after 2 episodes since I really, really didn't like it by that point but I followed it a bit while it was airing. I hope to god this isn't another typical super-inhumanly-skilled-angsty-teenagers-vs-the-world-and-POLITICALINTRIGUE show, Code Geass was too good of a train wreck anime for that to happen : < Long story short this needs more orenji All the video had was alot of Nightmare frames skating around, shooting each other, with flashes of the pilot's face, and a few shots of the characters themselves. In terms of action, it isn't all that different from Code Geass (remember Suzaku lol?), just flashier because OVA+$$$. Also, wasn't Code Geass already one of those "super-inhumanly-skilled-angsty-teenagers-vs-the-world-and-POLITICALINTRIGUE show"? I can think of alot of ways to badmouth Gundam 00 for what it turned out, but it wouldn't be that hah. More like "a bunch of mostly unskilled, personality-less dudes with OP mechs vs the world and POLITICALINTRIGUE" for Gundam 00 lol. Geass had the angsty teenagers covered (with a few exceptions), while Gundam 00 had the boring, shitty characters covered (with a few exceptions). Only thing I found weird about that PV was that there was no sound to go with it. Excluding the random jazz playing. And I'm saying that all of you are overthinking Code Geass. The problem with saying people overthink CG is that the first season actually did require people to think (or at least stuff made sense from an "intellectual" standpoint). If the entirety of the series had been as ridiculous and random as what made most people dislike R2, then it would probably have a lot less hate and people would accept it as just that's how it is. There is a drastic difference between the 2 seasons, however, and while some may be able to enjoy both for all the action or whatever, it is not unreasonable to complain about the absurdities that occur in R2 which are absent in the first season.
edit: also, just got my Bungaku Shoujo books. time to start reading! Haven't read anything since the Dune series a few years ago (which I have yet to finish).

There are going to be 10 more episodes. Finished watching the episode of Guilty Crown, and it was sooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooood. I'm willing to forgive some of the more crappier episodes earlier. + Show Spoiler + They spent pretty much the entire episode talking about Shu/Gai/Mana's past. It was great to see that in their past, Shu and Gai were complete opposites. I thought it was interesting how Shu said in previous episodes that he wanted to be just as strong as Gai, when in reality, Gai became who he was because he wanted to be like Past Shu. 5. Mana Dies and we barely know her I disagree with the barely know her part. This episode gave us plenty of information about her and how she's related to Shu/Gai. 1. She's Shu's older sister, and loves him very much. Saved Gai's life when she randomly found him washing ashore. 2. Knew that Gai liked her when they were still kids, by saying things like "Gai/Triton looks at me with adult eyes..." 3. Is basically the cause of Lost Christmas since she was the first to touch that Apocalypse Virus rock thing and went a little crazy. 4. That she is now being used to make some sort of new advanced human race using the Apocalypse Virus. 5. And is now "killed" to stop evil bad guy's plans. Not sure what was surprising about realizing Triton = Gai. It's been hinted since episodes ago that Gai and Shu knew each other when they were kids. Triton just happened to be the name given to him by Mana, and that he probably changed it to Gai after the events of Lost Christmas when he went to become stronger. I'll admit that if I didn't know beforehand that this series was going to be 22 episodes, this episode definitely had a "last episode" feeling to it. However, it's not like they used a new song for the ending, it's the same song that's been played at the end of every episode. They just omitted the sequence to have more time to show the aftermath of what happened. Gurren Lagann had something like that in the middle of the series too. It just opens the way for the beginning of a new arc, with Shu as the new leader of Undertakers etc. Didn't find anything wrong with the pacing at all. It was all done very well. I'm glad they didn't decide to stretch out that fight scene. I don't see how 2 people barely armed vs. some monster would be able to stretch out a fight for longer than two minutes. I found it pretty funny though when Gai told Shu to "cover him" while he went go get Mana, and I'm just thinking, "exactly how is he going to cover him with no weapons lol." (Also, wtf Gai can move around and use his own Void? Previous people just passed out after having their Voids extracted.) I was a bit surprised by Gai's death, but now that I think about it, it feels like he's served his purpose. He acted as kind of a mentor to Shu, and someone for Shu to look up to and want to become. Now that it's been revealed that Shu had all that kind of stuff in him all along, and that it was Gai that wanted to become like Shu in the first place, he dies and gives Shu the resolve to go back to his previous confident self. (The more I think about this, the more it reminds me of the relationship between Kamina and Simon from TTGL.)
