It was pretty cool, but my friend insisted on watching the English dub rather than the OG dub with the subtitles, which usually bothers me. Voice acting was... meh... but I didn't have anything to compare it to, so IDK. He wants to watch "Akira" next. Anyone know if that's any good? Should I insist on the OG dub or is English ok? | ||

Akira is a fairly influential anime movie. Its ok. I watched it in Japanese, so IDK what the dub is like. I know that it was one of the earliest dubs to be released State side back in the early 90s, and was pretty successful in the West. I'm thinking that Nisemonogatari and Symphogear are going to be the top 2 this season. Nisemonogatari is the same stuff we had with Bakemonogatari. Symphogear thus far is my favorite. Moretsu Pirates looks to be okay so far, but until it actually gets to the meat of the show (aka pirating), its hard to say how good it will be. Have yet to watch Rinne no Lagrange (was the pre-air you probably watched), but I've heard that is ok too. | ||

One of my anime drawings: One of my favorite characters in Mahou Sensei Negima!, Setsuna Sakurazaki!!!! Based off of Setsuna's face, in Chapter 51, Volume 6: I'll upload this to my deviantart eventually. I still need to edit it a little though. It was all hand drawn on paper and based off of my physical manga, not the internet image. I hope to get a lot better at drawing, especially architecture and faces, and get an actual art pad.
