Great first episode, was a bit confused at the beginning regarding the timeline of events, but looks like it's going from future -> past -> present time. Also means it's pre-emptively telling us that Hibiki is probably going to die before the series is over. I was surprised at the transformation near the end though. I had thought that their Symphogear powers were some sort of weapon developed to combat the Noise guys, but instead looks like something that's within individuals, almost like it's genetic. That or maybe just whoever sings that song turns into a Symphogear. + Show Spoiler [Nisemonogatari] + Interesting how Tsukihi knows that Nadeko likes her brother while he's clueless and friendzones her. But I guess that's typical of a MC. Also, after confirming with ecael, the use of "来い" and "恋" was pretty interesting too between Tsukihi and Koyomi. It helped explain, sort of, why he didn't get what she meant. + Show Spoiler [Mouretsu Pirates] + Didn't really have any expectations going into this show. I watched it cause HanaKana was listed as MC. Turned out to be pretty good, and HanaKana's character does not seem to be purely cute/klutzy character that she usually gets typecasted to. She turned out pretty cool, saving the MC's life from what looks like some kidnapping attempt?

Moe version of usagi drop with a Haruhi-esque main heroine, somewhat amusing but nothing great.

Also Tsukihi knows a ton of random things and has the wits to abuse it, not quite Hanekawa level but pretty awesome. In this case though she has more or less known since elementary school. Either way I am just sad that she doesn't get a lot of bantering time in nise in general. edit oops, thought I was editing.

I know they can't do much else but it might be a little bit dull. Also Nisemonogatari not being subbed by UTW.... for shame =( Relationship testing? I was under the impression that the series was going to be pure service as per usual. Nise was guaranteed to be simulcasted by someone. I'm actually a little surprised UTW bothered announcing at all, lol.

But I suppose their hands would be full doing Amagami Plus and Kill Me Baby. I dont mind HorribleSubs, but they dont do OP/ED subs, which sucks, especially for something like Nisemonogatari. + Show Spoiler [Nisemonogatari 01] + Pretty much everything I expected, all the usual, dialogue dialogue dialogue. Pretty fricking awesome. Also the part where Tsukihi was like "I wont interfere with a friend's feeling of love, even if its unrequited". That part made me go "NOOOO, ur such a dick Tsuhiki, how can you do that to Sengoku!". Then quickly realized that Araragi was a dense MC character and didnt catch on at all... Edit: The part of "come" and "love". What is the significance there? Anyone fluent in Japanese care to explain?

You also know that double work is just disheartening for anything because really subbing is not only hard but also mind numbing work sometimes.

Part of the reason why UTW felt like it was useless to try race with them.

+ Show Spoiler + So first we have Senjougahara kidnapping Araragi, and then she trolls the hell out of him. Ok, fine, I can appreciate trolling. And then the rest of the episode consists of Araragi's epic journey to Nadeko's place. This show is a masterpiece. Hopefully it doesn't have fanservice or that will completely ruin the atmosphere. I liked how the they randomly show random shit, and how it seems like the director of this show has ADHD.

From what I gathered, the words for "come" and "love" are homophones in Japanese, (sound the same, different meanings, English example: "flour" and "flower") in this case 来い [come] and 恋 [love] are pronounced "koi". Thus, Araragi misinterprets what his sister says and thought she meant "come" instead of "love". Take it with a grain of salt, I don't know much Japanese, I just hear it and Google translated it.

From my (limited) understanding of japanese it sounded impossible to get the wrong meaning from that sentence structure, so he is most likely just messing with her. Also 来い is the abrupt command form of "come", which explains why he went on saying Sengoku is more polite than her.
