That might explain why I didn't find it as bad as most people do... But it's insane how many shows she works with all the time. All the crappy shounen shows every season seems to have a character voiced by her, and then there are always a couple of interesting shows with her on top of that. | ||

Luckily for Hanazawa she lands on some pretty decent roles with a decent enough of diversity. Though in the end most of her stuff are still just moechara, hope she doesn't get typecasted into that. In a way I am like, shit, they put the 3 best conversation strikers in Bake in ep1, the rest is gonna suck. Tsukihi was good, definitely needs more. Was a bit worried preairing because I don't recognize the seiyuu from anything else and also because Tsukihi is actually a pretty hard character to handle well, so far so good though. | ||

Yeah I can see that being a problem. At least if future eps do suck, I can just re-watch this and see all the good conversations, but now I'm not as excited for next week haha. Tsukihi seiyuu is Yuka Iguchi who I recognized for doing 2 voices I really hate: Index and Maria, so I was worried for a different reason but I agree so far so good. | ||

And the last couple of years shes been absurdly prolific so maybe not fotm precisely, because shell be popular for a while but in a broader scale thats exactly what it is just like Momo was for a few years and a couple of others that I cant remember by name. Popularity easily leads to loss of versatility, because the memorable seiyuu, at least to me are the ones with unique, recognizable voices. That often results in they being better suited for a particular kind of role. Then there is the problem with landing a very prolific role. It's difficult not to think of School Days after hearing the voice of Makoto's seiyuu but while that causes problems with versatility, it also implies that he did he did a good job at that time. For me it's not really a problem though. I guess it would be a bit sad if she started having problems finding roles due to limited versatility but that would kind of require the death of moe which isn't really a bad thing. And just because I like her voice doesn't mean I want to hear it in all kinds of roles. | ||
