How does that change the fact that he was carrying a loli while balancing on a brick wall between a sea of zombies because he could lose his balance and be eaten alive? Because I'm pretty sure it doesn't change shit. I don't know about you, but the presence of fan service doesn't make me lose focus on the overall picture. The fanservice is blatantly obvious, yeah, no one can deny that, nor am I trying to say that it wasn't. But what I'm trying to say is that just because its there, it doesn't erase anything else thats going on. What serious implications is it taking away? Seriously, what the hell does any of that have to do with anything? You already suspend disbelieve because its a fucking zombie anime. And you can't do any more than that? Take away the fanservice, and they are killing zombies. Leave the fan service in, they are killing zombies, except with lots of tits and ass shots. Changes nothing. ..yep, that scene is indeed fanservice. Anything and everything is sexualized in anime/manga even more so for HoTD when you take into account the Sato duos track record (they previously have only drawn and written explicit content) Obviously you haven't gotten that far down the rabbit hole. This isn't a matter of concentration from the viewer, for example, because of such aforementioend scene I almost immediately know he will not fall off and die in the next remaining minutes of the episode. Any tension you had was immediately lost in favor of going 'he he' or 'thats hot'. We've already beaten the dead horse to death, and the horse's name is atmosphere.

Haha, well its a bit of an exaggeration, but you'll get my point if what you were expecting was a story about life and family, similar to something like Clannad After Story, and instead you get a very predictable and akward shoujo love-triangle-thing.

Tsundere Sent sounds so gross. On January 07 2012 16:23 bubO wrote: well.... i liked High school dxd :c don't really care about the fan service really but i got to say it is way over top. There was nothing in DxD that I could like. The animation was a little poor, and the fanservice was just wtf? They focus on a girl for two seconds and show her boobs bounce. Okay... Thanks for that?...

I had the exact same argument with him awhile ago and although we made peace, I didn't get any tsundere apology. Guess he was just still in tsuntsun mode. hoping Ayatsuji arc gets 3+ episodes. screen time should be proportional to awesomeness.

loosely based on the last 3 pages of HOTD.. ZnT is awesome because its easy to ignore fan service and if you can do that well you already got half your shit down. Also its dark and gritty because the master is a depraved loli superbitch who mistreats her poor slave and chronicles Sato? Saito's? trials and tribulations as an almost unconditionally loving servant who would do anything for her. Go.... !!! Seems like a leanish season. Ill maybe check out Another but mostly just pick up some random stuff I planned to watch and forgot about. On January 07 2012 16:16 NationInArms wrote: Usagi Drop manga isn't that bad. No it was pretty bad, the teen angst among other things was overdone and well http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=94273¤tpage=1423#28454 edit- it really shouldve had Yoko Kanno KH ![]()

It makes sense why yoko Kanno is not in. Also, I must be the only person in the world who doesn't like JAM project. Nyanfes final this weekend!!! May'n and Nakajima LIVE yeah!!!!!! I finally get to attend a Macross concert. TIL nana mizuki is 31. How is she only now reaching the peak of her popularity.

But, uhhh, if you are really going to tell me that his guide didn't talk about composers, maybe you should go re-read it. In particular, the part where he talks about composers. And makes no mention of Yoko Kanno.

Hmm I guess that's one of the difficulties in making a good "slice of life" style story, there's really hard to find a good end or resolution to the story. Oh well, guess I won't look for the manga then.
