If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

overall a good episode, maybe a bit too much talking for my liking. I am interested what will happen with Caster next and when Kiritsugu blew up that house my eyes went O_O

man this episode was so good, i especially lol'd at the part where Todoroki was talking about Inami's feelings towards Takanashi right behind Satou's back, and he was agreeing with everything she said.

hahahahaha. too good... too good...

should finish Robotech. Id do that before anything else really. New generation is probably my favourite season of any show (even though I dont really like mech) by a long way, mostly out of nostalgia value so hardcore bias but still. Frontier can come latter.

Robotech? What's that?(LALALALACANTHEARYOU)

an amusing series of scifi novels based on an anime I really need to get around to watching far as I'm concerned any ways. I know I didn't quite finish them all but did read 17 or so of them when I was younger . Must stop backtracking amusing thread and go to sleep already.

The Robotech novels are pretty good... Depend on which ones you read. I'm a huge Robotech fan, and bought up ALL the novels way back when I was younger. The novels based around the series, and the Sentinels are pretty good. When you branch out into the novels that take place between series (Zentraedi Rebellion, Master's Gambit, Before the Invid Storm) you start getting mixed results. Before the Invid Storm, and the book that takes place after the series (End of the Circle) are particularly screwy. End of the Circle has been wiped out of canon now due to The Shadow Chronicles, the quality of that movie is questionable at best.

Anyway, if you liked the novels, you would definitely like the series.

First and foremost, Robotech is in english. It tecnically isn't a dub of Macross, but you can sort of think of it that way. Robotech was made up of 2 other shows in addition to Macross, and the 3 are re-edited in order to fit them into one continuous timeline (Macross happens, then Southern Cross, then Mospeada). The main changes from Macross to Robotech, are name changes (Western names in Robotech), certain things in their backstory (Zentraedi's origins mainly), and what happens afterwards. From what I've heard, Southern Cross in Robotech is an improvement from what the original was, and Mospeada is more or less unchanged from the original (outside name changes and tie-ins). Both have their merits.

Is reading TWGOK worth it? I tried to read it, and then got bored (for some reason, can't remember why). But I know a couple of people who read it and say that it's really good. Some of the spoilers you guys post are really interesting.

Depends if you like this type of manga. Mangafox has it labelled Comedy, Harem, Romance, School Life, Shounen, Supernatural. The manga has a bit of everything. A little suspense, a little humor, a little romance, a little supernatural etc. It doesn't really shine in any of those aspects but it has a nice mixture of them all.
It's not serious and should not be taken as such. Just your average love comedy I guess, but in manga form. I personally find it fun to read and SB and KH on here read it too if I'm not mistaken.

Hm interesting, I didn't really pick that up from the last episode. I mean, I got that some voids are useless, but didn't know that the power is based on who's around him. IIRC episode 2, Gai said something about it's based on their hearts?

btw necrophantasia, what's the progress on kannagi 38?? I have no idea what the release date of just the manga is, let alone translations. :D

The chapter was translated by me a couple of weeks ago, but it was put on low priority for editting because of low readership. Hopefully, it will get done soon.

Just finished reading Hoshi no Samidare (The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer). It really should be more popular than it is, author managed to put a little of pretty much everything into it and it still was damn good and solid from beginning to end.

Anyway a really overlooked manga, hence why it took me a while to stumble on it as well.

Low readership!? I guess taking a 2 year hiatus doesn't exactly get more readers.

Yeah, sadly HOTD hasn't updated for a long time. Don't know why it's on indefinite hiatus though, I think a lot of people liked it and they made an anime for it. ;(

I have no clue either. I am sure that it was fairly popular. Maybe the authors have more important stuff going on right now. I mean they were right at the start of a new story arc so it's frustrating.

and B Gata H Kei ended today too man this day kinda sucks.

Animation quality was great as always, though. I wouldn't necessarily call it slacking off; it seemed much more like plot-building to me. Not every episode can be flashy with action, lol.

This F/Z seems boring because episode 5 was so epic and baller. The interactions between Rider and Waver have become my favorite parts of F/Z. Like Zeke said, this was a build-up episode. After a huge free-for-all at the warehouse, it makes sense to have a lull in the action.

Favorite part of today's episode: + Show Spoiler +
