I've literally got nothing to do right now as I wait for the school year to start. Got no books to read, no games to play, and all that jazz. So, what I'm looking for is an anime series or two to watch. Unfortunately for you guys, I am not initiated in anime, so you gotta help me out.
I've seen Clannad and Kanon 2006, and the "slice of life / romance" genre appeals to me. Something along the lines of either of those would be great. Humor is a plus, but not entirely necessary, but it has to be able to warm my heart / make me shed man-tears. That's not too difficult, believe it or not. >_>
So, got any ideas?
Oh, and Moonbear isn't allowed to make suggestions, since he's a total oujo fanatic (or however the fuck you spell that). Definitely watch Clannad: After Story if you haven't watched that yet. If you already have, on to School Days :D Good way to pass time, Re "watch" clannad in VN form, full clear it. and if that's not enough read Little Busters! AUGH AFTER STORY FUCK THAT SHIT I'm never going to watch After Story. Not after what happened... The ending was bullshit IMO. It would have been better off to leave everyone in despair. Because there aren't enough stories like that.
But of course they have to pull a deus ex machina out of their ass, because its Key.

Though honestly the idea of having bad ends for the sake of having bad ends is pretty stupid. The thematic approach for Clannad and LB was infinitely better than Air and Kanon, and RW is an interesting direction for Key in the future. I look forward to what else their current set of writers would come up with.
EDIT - Thematically, the point has been done enough for the Afterstory and throughout the main routes that the way they worked in the true end is fine.

You should not recommend people to waste 100000 hours of life on clannad vn. Is not that good, imo. Anime was better. The ending doesn't make much sense in the anime though. Granted, its still kinda ehhh in the VN, but at least they sorta give a reason for it. The anime, on the other hand, has no such excuse.
Dunno if that detail is worth putting in the 300 hours for Clannad though. <_<
