I've literally got nothing to do right now as I wait for the school year to start. Got no books to read, no games to play, and all that jazz. So, what I'm looking for is an anime series or two to watch. Unfortunately for you guys, I am not initiated in anime, so you gotta help me out.
I've seen Clannad and Kanon 2006, and the "slice of life / romance" genre appeals to me. Something along the lines of either of those would be great. Humor is a plus, but not entirely necessary, but it has to be able to warm my heart / make me shed man-tears. That's not too difficult, believe it or not. >_>
So, got any ideas?
Oh, and Moonbear isn't allowed to make suggestions, since he's a total oujo fanatic (or however the fuck you spell that). while Steins Gate is THE anime of the thread atm, it only has a small amount of romance. I still highly recommend it though.
Ef - a tale of memories/melodies (sequel) True Tears Hanbun no Tsuki ga Nobura Sora School Days Ginban Kaleidoscope Air 5 Centimeters per second (movie. anything from Makoto Shinkai is romantic and sad really)
that should keep you busy until school.

Considering how much effing money they spend on the LHC every year (only for a small spark to fuck the shit up so they fix it for another 13 months) they had better be actually doing some serious time travelling..

Have any of you played Shikkoku no Sharnoth? Is it good?

Apart from the stuff on the link at the top of the thread:
- Ouran Highschool Host Club - Shojou, Comedy
- Ranma 1/2 - Shounen, Action, Comedy(?)
- Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Psychological
- Uchuu no Stellvia (Stellavia of the Universe) - Mecha/SciFi, somewhat psychological if you think about it
- Hayate no Gotoku - Shounen, Comedy, Parody, Slice of Life
- Saki - Mahjong, Risa BM
- Kannazuki no Miko - Seinen, Fantasy, Tragedy
- Tsubasa Chronicles - Shounen, Fantasy, Action
- Tales of the Abyss (or Symphonia/Phantasia but I haven't seen them) - Shounen, Fantasy, Action
- Nodame Cantabile - Music, Slice of Life
- Eureka Seven - Mecha/SciFi, Action, Psychological
- Samurai 7 - Shounen, Mecha/SciFi, Action
Those are all decent anime which you could enjoy marathoning over a weekend. Some are a little old but still good.

Aeres, the best romance/slice of life anime there is, is Honey and Clover. I dare anyone who's seen alot of the genre to disagree.

You should not recommend people to waste 100000 hours of life on clannad vn. Is not that good, imo. Anime was better.
