But I feel like it's the type of story that just works better as a manga. Probably because there's a lot of talking so having to read all the plot developments that I already know is boring. | ||

There are just some things that I really don't get (which I attribute to my not paying attention for the first two episodes...but I don't want to rewatch them), i.e.+ Show Spoiler + John Titor appearing in the story and then disappearing from reality and then seemingly coming back...as well as the insofar unexplained lapses of memory...wtf lol I don't want anything spoiled, though, so I will just keep watching. | ||

You could take all the porn out of the VN, replace it with a Dragon flying around, or a Dolphin swimming, and the VN would still be miles better than the anime. Barely anything at all would change. But lets take a look at what you are doing, and some facts. 1.) You have only watched the FSN anime. 2.) You have never read the FSN VN. 3.) All you know about the VN is that it has porn. 4.) There's also the fact that Bakuman is really, really heavy on dialogue, so essentially you get talking heads for entire episodes at a time. Overall, I just feel it works a lot better as a manga. | ||

The fan service isn't really fan service, at the very least, nothing that I'd consider as fan service. Makise Kurisu was interested because of the way Okabe acted -> presented w/ gel banana. You should notice how she immediately tried to taste it and noted how there was no taste, so something not microwaving is at work here. In terms of what Daru can do, it is part suspension of disbelief, part them leading you on. Keep in mind the ping that Daru is getting from France (I forgot whether he did this early on, but you'll get there) No one else gets what's happening in the first 3 episodes, so you aren't alone. I have to say though, a lot of people just get pissed at the 'plot holes' of the early episodes rather get intrigued and further the suspension of disbelief, not sure why the difference. Figure out what the gel banana is yourself, the time when you see Kurisu barging into the lab basically tells you what the microwave is. Again no one is suppose to understand the plot at this point. People omit information on purpose to keep the plot going - the characters are as much in the dark as you. So honestly, I don't know what your complaint is about lol. | ||
