It's probably more targeted to a younger audience. The characters look pretty young to me. Though in other series the good pilots are kind of young too. No idea why it's always high school kids who have to save the earth and these characters looks even younger

Wing was much better.
Half of 00 was better, and the other half was worse, so they average out at the same quality. But I guess if you count Gundam 00: Giant Space Flower with the series, Wing pulls ahead.
Dunno but I never got into mecha series. The only 2 series that i watched are TTGL and Code Geass but they arent your typical mecha shows.
Btw anyone else here is reading Sun-Ken Rock? Such an awesome manga wow I read all 45 chapters in 2 days. Its a good mix of great action, gags, ecchi and the plot aint half bad. The art is awesome too. Its from the same mangaka that wrote the best oneshot manga Hotel. I need moar right now !

Code Geass is your typical mecha series, except with huge amounts of trolling, and TTGL is a typical Super Robot show that really didn't add anything to the Super Robot genre (aka everything in TTGL had been done before) other than Gainex's budget. Most people who say they are unique just haven't watched enough stuff to actually be able to say that.

semantics. if the show has huge amounts of trolling, then it it cant be your typical mecha series. Because your typical mecha show does not have huge amounts of trolling.
