Perhaps my favourite drama/romance anime as a matter of fact. I can't really pin point why, but somehow I connected immensely with it. The limited scope of just 6 episodes to fit it perfectly too, it didn't become too convoluted and bloated, nor did it feel too short and hastened. One of 7 animes I've kept on my harddrive after watching and which I revisit every now and then.

Because it is good, not much to say beyond that. The series from what I heard drops off a little near the end and in the 'afterstory' kind of stuff though.
I was so saddened by vol 3 or so that I still haven't finished the series.

Just finished Sword of the Stranger.
Nothing new, but damn those visuals were amazing.

full moon is about a loli who wants to be a singer, but gets cancer of the throat and is going to die in 1 year,
lol
two fairies come to her to make her life as good as possible before she dies, and they help her become a pop sensation.
its not outstanding in terms of quality, and you might say its slow moving and repetitive, but i watched the whole series in a few days and cried like a baby on the last ep. so in that sense it was fantastic :D
as for elfen lied fan-service stuff, i guess if that stuff seriously annoys you then you wont be able to see through it. personally i dont even really remember it. i remember an amazing and original story with a gripping and dramatic presentation and fantastic finale.
kodomo was brilliant but if you watched half of it and didnt feel anything for it then watching the rest wont do anything for you. poor you ;(
everyone has seen laputa castle in the sky right? there was 2 subbed versions; a dvd version and iirc the awesome version was a poor quality fansubbed version which had better subtitles/translation
