Akari was somehow a ray of sunlight, but rather than being absurd, annoying, etc. she just ends up feeling incredibly genuine, and you feel cheered up by her where, if you take a step back and look at her lines and the way she acts, she's just a hair away from being obnoxious. Not a whole lot of people can do that, and I tip my hat to Amano Kozue for being able to create that series. The reason I bring this up is because it's really, really difficult to compare ARIA to normal SoL. It's a bit like Yotsubato, which is another SoL that builds itself on the motto of "enjoy life." There's a constant stream of genuine satisfaction and happiness and fulfillment derived from the small things in those two series (and some others) that is really, really not normal of the SoL genre as a whole. | ||

I think we can all agree that Yui = Mars (or Ares in greek), since (s)he was the god of war and thus conquest, lol. Shiori I think prolly has Minerva inside, but the author likes to twist it, so it might as well be Mercury. Anyway, I want Ayumi to have the last one :x I also have to admit it: I liked this genderbender Keima :< Also: Fate/Zero will prolly be the anime of the year for me.
