If the sword was seastone, Buggy would've been turned to paste. It's also an interesting side note about Haki. Either Mihawk doesn't use it with his sword, or he saw Buggy as too insignificant to bother using Haki so that he could slice him. I'm guessing he's just straight-up swordsmanship, like Zoro, to keep that rivalry for world's greatest swordsman "pure" from outside stuff like devil fruits/haki. On the whole Mihawk cutting Buggy debate. The way I see haki let's you hurt a DF user, it doesn't negate it's power. Buggy DF is to avoid swords so he can still do that even with a haki sword. Or it was just for comical relief. But that's the way I've always seen it. By the way it's a really nice chapter this week. Fishman Island hopefully is in some termoil and they get to save the Fishman Island Princess. With a nice Jimbei reunion. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + Wait, so Perona is going to join the straw hats! Awesome! 1. They really needed another girl 2. Her abilities leave her lots of room to be really strong, I mean, how many can be like Usopp? I guess it won't work on Haki users though. 3. Her look is completely different from Nami/Robin 4. I think her personality will really make the boat pretty interesting now. Her haughtiness could lead to some very funny interactions with Sanji/Brook/Usopp I think. If this really happens, I support this! | ||

I wouldn't be surprised if she guided Zoro to Shabondy though, as I doubt Mihawk would bother and I doubt Zoro could've found his own way. I don't like Perona's design either but that's just a personal thing. Jimbei, Bonnie, and Smoker are the best candidates in the current pool of characters that we have, we could easily meet new ones though. pretty good prediction there I must say. It seems odd to me that Oda would give her such a drastic redesign if she's just there to drop zoro off. She'll be around for a least a little I would guess. Maybe more like Vivi? I dunno, I kinda think she might join the crew. | ||
