Except you forget that it was in complete havoc even when Jinbei was there. It wasn't until Whitebeard arrived that order was restored. Jinbei is strong, but there's only so much they can do against crews CONSTANTLY passing through and tearing up the place. It's okay though, Luffy will save the place.

I wouldnt be surprised if Jimbei was a child back then.

Jinbei is strong, and I doubt there are very many people who could beat him 1v1 in the water, but I think if a large number of "strong" pirates are constantly coming through making a mess of things, even Jinbei would get worn down.

I think it would make sense for Fishman Island to be in chaos. Even though Jimbei could probably take out whole pirate crews single-handedly, a whole island is too much for one man to protect. It would be really cool if we get to see Arlong again and maybe a war between invading pirates and the sunny pirates (fishman pirate crew). Although it's improbable, I want Jimbei to join the Straw Hat crew. If not him, then Hacchi would be a good second choice. I also would not be surprised if Luffy claimed Fishman island as his first territory to protect it.

One piece anime has gotten worse ever since they switched producers, they make endings bad and sad moments awkward. However, the latest episode, which was right after whitebeard gets stabbed was really well done imo. Watch it if you havent!! Anyway i cant wait for the next manga chapter, i really hope one piece doesnt go downhill like naruto after time the timeskip

I haven't really found the anime to be bad. Even though I read the manga, the anime is pretty enjoyable. It definitely isn't as fast paced as the manga, but it isn't bad.

certain parts of the anime to me are better than the manga in showing emotion. for example in episode 393 where zoro is about to attack the tenryubiito, the anime did a wonderful job there imo

I enjoy the anime. The only problem I have with it is that it moves at a slow pace, but then again, it's hard to blame it for that since it's so close to the manga.

I think awhile back there was discussion if Mihawk's sword was made out of seastone or not and the coloring of the manga/anime/etc was brought up as reasoning of why it wasn't. Noticed something in the anime recently that I didn't think about when I read it in the manga. Luffy uses Buggy as a distraction against Mihawk during the Whitebeard war. If the sword was seastone, Buggy would've been turned to paste.

It's also an interesting side note about Haki. Either Mihawk doesn't use it with his sword, or he saw Buggy as too insignificant to bother using Haki so that he could slice him. I'm guessing he's just straight-up swordsmanship, like Zoro, to keep that rivalry for world's greatest swordsman "pure" from outside stuff like devil fruits/haki.
