If Law knows anything about Luffy's past he would not suggest Shanks. He probably knows Luffy hates Blackbeard given his involvement in the Marineford war. I doubt Law knows about Luffy declaring war on Big Mam. Still I think it will probably be Big Mam since she seems like the weakest of the four emperors and it makes the most sense story wise.
This is all assuming Luffy is willing to work with Law, though he will probably end up doing so even if doesn't agree formally.
AND wtf I thought Law was with the marines how is he helping Luffy so quickly? Also FRANKY Lol. So much in One Piece chapters to enjoy.
But that would make the situation on punk hazard way to easy for the strawhats. There is also the possibility Law really suggests Shanks, trying to talk Luffy into it, but of course it will end up in a fight between them. But then Luffy seems to need Law to switch back the bodies of his teammates, maybe Law intends to use that to pressure Luffy?
But Big Mom seems more reasonable, but suddenly the actual punk hazard arc would be kinda weird, as all of a sudden there are no more enemies that can threaten the new Law/Luffy team.

The important key Law is talking about. Could it be another ancient weapon? Pluton? That would be kind of crazy for a random lab island to have an ancient weapon. The island which was probably chosen because of how out of the way it was plus no magentic field.
It probably is an invention of Vegapunks? That doesn't make sense to me either since why would he leave something so important behind? Can't think of what Law could be talking about.
I don't think this arc will become too simple if Law teams up with Luffy. Don't underestimate what Oda can bring out given a mad scientist character as the main villian for this arc.

|
if anything i'd think it will be Kaido, or big Momma, the other two doesn't seem likely. Since one is a mortal nemesis and one is a friend. (shanks and teach)

WHY IS OP SO AWESOMEEEEEE and Naruto so baaaaad ????
OP always delivers Man Oda is a real genius, nice story, nice build up, nice cliffhangers. love it !

The current arc was kind of inserious and boring till now, I really like the "taking down one of the four emperor" twist!

Fuck yes ODA!!!
I'm thinking Big Mom btw

i really want trafalgar law to become an ally. to be honest, if luffy and law never fight id be happy. Realistically, alliances HAVE to happen. The fishmen arc foreshadowed an alliance between Fishmen Island and the SHC, and Jinbei is pretty much an ally already, but Luffy is bound to make allies in his current generation. There are also lots of parallels between Laws crew and Luffy's. An animal and a blades weilder?
loved this chapter

If Law counts as a swordsman, does it mean Zoro has to surpass him to become the world strongest swordsman ??? That would be a damn good rivalry...

Awesome chapter, with an especially awesome cliffhanger. So many ways the story can go and all would be great...
- vs. Big Mam would be logical: if some of Big Mams troups are nearby the Luffy/Law alliance wouldn't even be OP. After the feud has already started last arc this would be a bit of a shortcut in storytelling but I wouldn't mind. - vs. Kaido would be cool to see who he is. - if Law suggests Shanks things would get out of control because obviously Luffy wouldn't be interested. I would prefer them to not fight because I like both of them. Also I really think that Luffy needs to find allies. Even Whitebeard had to have a ton of allies to really challenge the World Government so I don't think Luffy can even come close to doing it with only 10 people.
|
Law is SO FUCKING BOSS!
Also, Law and Luffy don't have to fight. They can still be cool with each other, just neither allies nor enemies. I mean, Shanks never hated Whitebeard, and they often talked despite being the 4 emperors and technically "against each other."

not likely, Law is more of a scientist/doctor. I.E franky/chopper.

Two other random things. First even if Law does suggest Shanks it doesn't mean they will fight as Law as the plan may not be set to any one emperor. Second I wonder if Law is going to keep his Shubkaki title. He fought Smoker sure, but if he takes down Caesar it will be a good thing and furthermore if he takes down an emperor the World Government should be pleased.

Law mentioned that in the new world, you either gain protection from a Yonkou, or you challenge them. Considering Law proposed to take down a Yonkou, doesn't this imply he's currently in a situation where he's fighting a Yonkou? There might be some motivation behind this.

Goddamn I'm excited, Luffy + Law would be such a sick alliance

its definently Big Mam the big overearching arc is Luffy VS Big Mam so it makes alot of sense that Law shows up with a plan to help him do that fight
its pretty much impossible his plan is to take down Shanks, from what weve seen Shanks seems a bit of a shut in so most likely your not in danger from his or his crew
it has to be either Big mam or the 4th guy who weve never seen, especially from what weve seen of big mam jsut avoiding her isnt going to happen
combine that with what law did to Luffys crewmates and his haxxors devil fruit and its pretty much guranteed that Law will fight with Luffy against Big Mam and hell jsut so happen to fight the one person under big mam who jsut so happens to have the skill that counters laws

Just a thought but what if mam found out that law helped luffy at marineford and attcked him and his crew. And his crew is now hostage or dead (which doesn't happen too much in OP).
