In chapter one Luffy says he wants 10 people to join him, so we have at the very least two more roles to fill. I can't imagine Oda would forget what Luffy says in chapter 1. So what other roles are there?
Fishman - Jinbe
But that leaves at least one more. Some posibilites, some are dumb, some are possible, just trying to brainstorm roles on a ship as well as fighting techniques.
Giant - Many crews have a giant, could luffy find one? or could we see the return of weakyoshi with full control of her power?
Cannoneer/Grenadier - someone who uses explosives? often there was a gunpowder expert on board ship, since Usopp is all plants now, this could be open.
Scout - maybe someone with exceptional vision, and perhaps super speed but not as strong?
Spy - An expert in camouflage and gaining information in sneaky ways
Tailor - perhaps silly, but someone who works on clothes/sails etc would be unique, and give the crew free costume changes and probably some good chances for humor as well.
You can take the time to shoot them all down if you want, I probably won't care to answer though, but I'm interested to see what other people might come up with. What other roles are left? After Jimbei I think the next crewmate will be... A female ninja who is also a tailor and that comes from the same land that samurai guy came from. Yes, I'm serious. Also: Giant - Not possible due to them not fitting on the ship Cannoneer/Grenadier - Overlaps with Usopp and Franky Scout - Overlaps with Usopp Spy - Overlaps with Robin
IMO, one can argue that Giant overlaps with Monster Point. Being that the case, over time they managed to get a Giant into the crew without the hassle of him not fitting on the ship.

While Luffy does pick people mostly based on who he likes, it's Oda who has created characters that Luffy needs and likes. Though yes jobs are no longer that important since all the essential jobs are filled hence the next crew member may have a non essential secondary job if they join if they have a "job" at all.
And there is no reason the crew needs a Logia user.

i think Logia sorta goes against the SH "style" if it makes sense
generally the strawhats go into fights as the underdog and generally get pretty beat up all through the fight before managing to finish the enemy off with guts and willpower so if they did have a logia user now would be the time to introduce it since pretty much everyone from now on whould ahve Haki or some anti-logia counter measure

right, except as i just said in the very post your quoted at the very least i expect him to not go with them on there ship for some reason most likely remaining on Hishman Island and as i posted earlier in the thread it is possible he does join them and acts as there muscle on fishman island

When Jinbe and Neptune talked together at the end of the last arc, Jinbe himself said that he couldn't go with the SHs yet due being one of Bigmom's subordinates, and if he stops working for her FI and the rest of the Sun pirates are going to incur her wrath. After this arc its likely that luffy will encounter Bigmom and defeat her (or whenever this ends up happening) and Jinbe will be able to either join them for the fight against Bigmom or join the crew after she falls.
To kill off a potential crew mate who has pretty much accepted an invite and fits in the crew as a helmsman and as an insurance against the weakness of ability users is a silly silly waste.

source? im pretty sure Jimbei was never ever affiliated with Big mam since he was a Shichibukai and banned from even being on fishman island
