The reason why Fishman Island is still protected is due to a sort of contract made through Jimbei, which would allow Fishman island to use her name, while providing her with candy.
Jimbei also says that his crew, the Sun Pirates, are also currently serving under Big Mam.

After this arc its likely that luffy will encounter Bigmom and defeat her (or whenever this ends up happening) and Jinbe will be able to either join them for the fight against Bigmom or join the crew after she falls. It's pretty obvious that there'll be a 2nd part to Fishman Island - Jimbei'll join at that point.

One thing to say some people have hinted that the strawhats may not get another new crewmember and others have hinted that two more might join. I am going to say that is most likely going to be 1 more person joining. (My hope is Jimbei but that is irrelevant) We all know the SHs will eventually clash with the BB crew. Including blackbeard and not including the horse the BB's have 10 members while the SH's currently have 9 including Luffy.
Also I would like to say I am impressed at Law's bounty I believe that is the highest bounty for a warlord yet.
It would be really funny if Buggy came around with something like a 5-600,000,000 bounty.
