An even better scenario would be that Kaido's fruit is the only fish fruit in existence - making it the only outlier of traditional DF rules. | ||

To me the tone Big Mom was talking about giving him the fruit was so grand that I'm thinking at least breathing underwater could be a feature. I mean, to me it would make sense because it would explain why Kaido didn't just drown himself in the midst of his suicide attempts. | ||

He was doing work against King AND Queen, that seems kind of insane i was more surprised by how pathetic the whole whitebeard crew was in marineford tbh. i mean it made sense to make them only as strong as they were at the time but in retrospect they should have stomped marineford. future showings of wb crew members including marco now is obviously doing them much more justice given their reputation. also as for story development 1000 didnt have much but i still got chills. satisfying chapter for me overall | ||

I’ll also never forget the ass whooping Whitebeard laid down on my boy Akainu. Maybe my reverence overtakes me, but Marineford didn’t feel too poor of a showing if we look at how the upper echelon of each side were doing imo | ||
