Great chapter, will be funny to see if the strawhats have what it takes to beat a yonkou but with "poseidon" and fighting a sea battle they can't lose imo
they have fishman power - fighting under water, especially jimbei
they have poseidon, all the sea monsters + kraken
they have a great ship!
I don't think there's gonna be another fight so soon, so i bet they will take the blame for the sweets and run from kaidou and that will create the next arc until they fight. If they fight in the water the strawhats can't lose imo

Except that is "haki" specifically CoO (color of observation) which is the same thing -- e.g. being able to observe how to cut the steel -- as being able to sense another's presence.
Plus I'm pretty sure that Luffy knows they have some ability too because he actually asked and that was what Oda was trying to imply

Good chapter. I don't think that Luffy and Big Mom are going to fight. Lola or w/e back at Thriller Bark is probably her daughter, right? I think they are just going to have some big meeting, and then go on their way.
As for Aokiji... I remember I didn't think it would have been that much of a stretch for Jinbe to join (and he pretty much agreed to be a Crewmate in the future), but Aokiji? That guy is main-boss level strong, no way he could fit in IMO unless he has a drastic power-down.

How'd you explain him dodging the rocks by "just knowing it", the abillity probally awakened to some degree, and we don't actually know cus he haven't cut any logia people (both enel and aokiji caught his sword iirc, or maybe he weren't skilled with it).
Idk about sanji, he haven't done anything to show it yet other than running away from okamas (but that'd give me haki like paranoia too, I betcha)

This was a sick chapter. I really was about to get angry when they talked about hody's handcuffs...I was really hoping that it wasn't going to be extended but instead it was just a solid conclusion to how we will never see the drugs again

I would say it's probably a safe bet that at least Zoro and Sanji will achieve some level of Haki (especially vs Logia users), since it would be hard to stay relevant otherwise lol.
VERY curious to see who the 2 new admirals are.

I can't imagine Smoker not qualifying as a new Admiral. And with Akainu at the helm, it doesn't seem like Admirals are just going to sit back and do nothing. Possible to see Koby as an Admiral too, either now or later lol.

I don't think Coby (or Koby) would work under Akainu. As much as he wants to be a marine, he believes in his own justice. He jumped in front of Akainu to stop him in he Marineford war. There no way they see eye to eye. I can almost imagine a rogue squad of ex-marines lead by Aokiji, Smoker, Coby and the rest of the gang.
If not I'm sure pretty confident that Smoker is just doing whatever he wants with Coby near him.

I'd say he may've reached vice admiral. Seems a bit much to jump from no name peon that a few Marines know about only because Garp is training him, all the way up to one of three admirals (assuming they always try to keep three of 'em). If anything, Coby be likely to reach Admiral when Akainu gets taken down and be part of the next Marine regime change in the "look at that, we're not super huge jackasses anymore" direction. No way Akainu would let Coby have a position that high after their little confrontation during the War.
On the whole Haki discussion. Just because someone has Observation/Mantra, doesn't mean it's not counterable. Rayleigh hid himself for years pretty much right next to Marine HQ, on the island most likely to get Marine bigwigs to visit. I didn't go back and look, but I'm fairly certain Kizaru didn't see Rayleigh coming from halfway across the island. I would think it's a safe assumption that he (and others skilled in that Haki) can hide themselves (standard hiding power level biz) to some extent. Thus, Mantra isn't an omniscient win button with no counter. Otherwise fights would get lame really fast with two people dodging everything the other person throws out.
Blackbeard pirates should be interesting. Hopefully there's some type of limit on taking new devil fruits and he's not just Sylar from the Heroes TV show.

I really want to know what's happened with Garp and Sengoku these past two years. They may have left the marines, but there's no way Oda is just going to forget about them. And the remaining whitebeard pirates. And of course, the strongest pirate of the all... BUGGY!!

shiiiiiiit now that was a one piece chapter. Aokiji is yonkou about level but there can only be 4, he's too powerful too join any crew so damn who knows but yes revolutionary would fit well. Do want more world news next chapter that and the mysteries that just keep piling up keep me reading intently.

I'm more interested to see if there is anyone we already know filling Shichibukai roles. Blackbeard, Jinbe, and Moria are gone from their roles, so thats alot of open slots. I'm betting on Buggy being in one, but there are still two more. Odds are they are going to show up in the story more than Admirals are, unless said Admiral is Smoker.

I'm still wondering what Oda's plans are for Jewelry Bonney. I don't think she was simply caught and put into Impel Down. Maybe she was converted into a marine, or possibly she can be a new Shkibukai.
