It's nowhere near a good explanation, but at least it makes some sense, knowing Kubo I thought he was gonna go full Aizen-logic on this one. The way of burning the bankais is terrible, but it shows Ichigo's bankai wasn't stolen because "his potential was greater than the Quincy thought" bullshit they told to CC.

Like someone said above now the quincy will just 'throw' the stolen bankais away since it will be toxic to them. But none of that matters because all these chapters of talking/wasting pages are all for giving the reasons for ichigo to own them all (once and for all) since he is the ultimate hybrid/quincy's messiah etc.

So... half of the quincies just got one shot KO and the rest have to fight against bankai-able captains now? Isn't this really gg, since before they couldn't fight against the captains at all when they had bankai. Zaraki and the guys in the king's palace place haven't even come out yet.

Well in typical bleach style the Captains get a power up on to be still stomped next chapter I guess. More importantly though, Quincy allergic to Hollows = Hollow Ichigo making a comeback?!?! Please!!

...I'm confused as to how the captains getting their bankais back will make a difference. The difference in power, with or without them, seems like it was presented very high. I know we still have the upper echelon of strong captains to fight, but guys like Hitsugya need to just die. I refuse to believe he could defeat anyone even with his bankai.

So their bankais are still attached to the captains? Because the captains absorbing the essence of hollow into themselves some how corrupts the bankai in the quincies bodies. That's like me taking poison and it kills the guy I gave a blood transfusion to previously.

Im actually surprised that it only takes one chapter for Urahara to explain AND execute his plan.
