Nice to see that it's not Ichigo who's going to powerlevel this time.
Unohana will obviously lose... Part of me wants her to live, because she just got 100x more interesting. Part of me wants her to die, because it would actually show that dramatic sentences like "one of you will die" aren't just words anymore.

So, kinda hoping for the latter, with a nice 1-2 chapter long summary of her life before she kicks it.

God this manga is garbage. Why the fuck is that dickhead with the shit hair creating Zanpakto and why do all the Zanpakto all of a sudden ugly freaks when they were hot babes in the previous chapter. If I want to read ass I'd just go into a public toilet and bust in on some hairy truck driver taking a dump.

If the Bankai is meant to make the wielder stronger and Unohana should already have bankai. Then I am just assuming that Zaraki can beat her if he does reach bankai level because they only inflicted permanent wounds to each other, Unohana's appearing to be more of the deathblow though.

But it wasn't revealed whether their past clash was with one of them using Bankai.

As for the Zanpakuto being given at the academy, didn't Ichigo have his when he turned shinigami? Or was all of that Rukia's zanpakutou? It changed to suit Ichigo more though so I don't understand. Too tired to search through the manga. Maybe tom. hehe!

Doubtful Unohana will die. Maybe we will have a Kenshin vs Saitoh from Samurai X anime bout in the dojo where the new captain commander will yell "Yamenka!" before the killing blow is delivered by one of them.

Rukia didnt give Ichigo his zanpaktou he made it himself, same with Ginjou

the BS taht Zanpaktou are lent out to people is givng me a complete headache and makes no sense

Unohana's weapons was drawn SUPER curvy, more than normal, for some reason. Wonder what gives.

Also Kubo doesnt want to draw backgrounds so he would just rather draw everyone floating in space.

OH MY GOD, this manga is SO good now!!! My heart is going pitter, patter. WHY SO GOOD? Unohana ultimate bad ass. Zaraki too cool for school. CLASH OF THE TITANS. ONE MUST DIE. Does theater get any better than this? I am weeping tears of joy. Cannot wait to see what happens next. Kubo finally delivering. You can totally tell that this guy spent YEARS, gods damned YEARS, just noodling about, delaying his actual story because he wanted to make more money lol. The art's suddenly gotten better, the storylines have sharpened up way more, and things are actually happening!! It feels like everything after the Aizen arc should have just been deleted and the story should have gone straight into this. 5/5!

...I don't like this chapter. I'm not really a fan of how this training became a death match, apparently. I mean, of course it can still go in any direction, but if they really plan to kill one of them off then it seems a little pointless to me. How would having a strong Zaraki be better than having him AND Unohana? Interested to see what happens.

To me, it feels a lot like how the Uchiha need to kill their best friend to make a Mangekyou. For Zaraki to reach his highest potential, he has to be pushed to his limits, which requires mortal combat. Anything less and he wouldn't need to push hard is how I'm interpreting it. Who knows what the actual outcome will be, but at this point I'm excited and eager for it, which is all I can ask for as a fan.
