No, it was his Bankai. First, it's power was to be several miles long, but then he told Ichigo that its real power is to fire to full length at multiple times the speed of sound. Then, it turned out it's super secret ability (because Kubo) is to poison the people it hits and dissolve them from the inside out, which is how he almost killed Aizen. | ||

And I think his vice captain's bankai was only used that one time when he demonstrated it against Yamamoto. I'm not sure on that last part, though. | ||

Still, that decoy finished Kenpachi quite easily. EDIT: Wow, you guys made me realize. They stole 1st division vice-captain's bankai even though he never showed it, hahah. And it was told few chapters before Yamamoto's explanation. Nice one Kubo. | ||
