100%. After a few chapters near the end Ichigo will be almost beaten by some bad guy, then suddenly you'll see a foot. In the next chapter you'll see Byakuya and Kenpachi standing there perfectly fine. Kenpachi will say some bullshit like: "Huu huu huu Ichigo, are you already beaten by these small fry?" And Byakuya will be like: "I pretended to be dead to analyse their power. Ichigo, please move out of the way, you're in my way to destroy these scum." Blah blah blah. The usual bullshit. Then they kill the bad guys in a single sword swipe and act all calm as if doing it was a waste of their time. Then Ichigo is like - thanks guys, now I can go fight the big boss by myself. Predictable bullshit as usual.

This last arc feels horribly rushed. It started well enough, with a good build and premise, but now it's falling apart. These new guys are incredibly boring, even the shitty anime bount arc had better characters. It is clear that the whole arc is going to suck, at least give us a super awesome 10 chapter fight between Ichi and the main bad dude, with good art and finish it.

Shit Byakuya got at least some parting words before he supposedly died from a blood explosion in a wall. Kenpachi was acting all badass one moment and then WOOSH hes being held up by the neck "dead". Nothing, didn't even see him swing his sword or anything.

What I think would have been the best ending to this chapter would be him slowly reaching his bloody-off-hand to the King's shoulder, and while he grabs, he'll make a grimace of a smile and studder the word: "ban... kai!".
But yeah, he better not die yet!

This Arc started out well enough but has been Declining in Quality...A badass Captain Commander Fight may change that if kubo can be arsed to draw shit...Every Fight happens off panel or gets done in 3 pages.

i really feel like tite wrote out a really detailed arc and then started going at it with scissors trying to figure out how to make it as short as possible

pretty much there is alot of splits, like how long are we going to wait to find out who attacked urahara? and every fight is short or not shown =/

I remembered that the voice actor for Kyoraku in the anime (japanese) is the same voice actor that plays solid snake (also japanese).
Im guessing this is lost on most western audiences though.
