Really weird movie for me now.
First saw this about ~15 years ago, and I had the hugest crush on Portman. Now, 15 years later....i found she still looks amazingly cute to me....and now I feel like a pedophile, lol.

Never Back Down

Troubled boy, teen angst, american highschool, MMA, girlfriend, against all odds.
There, I've just told you everything there is to know about this movie.
Piece of garbage.
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

"The African Queen" - A Missionarie and a boat captain decide to leave a village after the germans come and tear it up. They embark on his boat down a dangerous river in an attempt to destroy a german gunboat. The chemistry between Bogart and Hepburns character is fantastic. Great movie

"Primer" - It's heavy on the technical lingo so I was kinda like wtf? sometimes, but I loved the feel of it, the music, the way it was shot. Amazed this was done on such a short budget.

"Pandorum" - Suprised it's sitting at 28% on RT right now, this wasn't too bad. It kinda dragged for me though, seemed longer then it really was.

"The Hills Have Eyes" - Thought this was done pretty good which is saying alot because I usually despise these types of movies.

"The Hills Have Eyes 2" - Excluding some parts where I felt some claustrophobia in the caves, this was complete garbage.

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" - I saw the remake of it in theaters when it came out. This was done alot better. It is kinda cheaply made, it shows in its sound and the way it looks in general. but it was definantly scarier then the remake in my mind. Excluding some parts where leatherface looked like he was in drag, this was alright.

"The Caine Mutiny" - An old beat up warship during WWII gets a new captain and the laid back crew doesn't take too kind to his no-nonsense, hard-nosed way of wanting things done on the ship, so the crew revolts and trys to get rid of him. Another great movie from Bogart.

"Paranormal Activity" - It had some genuinely scary points in it, but most of the time I was bored :/

"Paranormal Activity 2" - Fucking boring bullshit. Most of the time you are looking through the security cameras where nothing is happening, Complete waste of time.

I just saw Kill Bill for the first time about a week ago. I haven't really gotten the movie out of my head since. I remember when it first came out my friends told me it was garbage so I didn't really give it a chance but WOW were they ever wrong. It's a great show, a little bit cheesy at times and it's certainly over the top but it's all in a good way. Revenge movies are just the greatest. If you're like me and didn't give it a chance when it first came out go watch this movie. :D

I think maybe Paranormal movies arent meant to be seen in the theatres, where you have 20 girls shivering in terror form teh slightest camera shake.

Its more of an "experience" film. Both were so much fun in theatre opening nights, but It would take me being bored silly before I watched them on my TV.
here to play.

Paranormal activity 1 was like 100x better than 2... 2 was like complete garbage really... they basically just re-made 1, but did it much worse.

Just watched the original Tron. It was interesting because I actually saw Tron: Legacy first.

The retro special effects were cool to see for a change, and I can definitely see how for the time it was something special. I noticed some similarities between it and Star Wars in terms of some of the ships and some of the robed "programs."

I am Number Four is a solid popcorn flick, and I thought it was entertaining. Just don't go expecting an arthouse film, or something that wins Oscars.

Also, there's gonna be more, considering the books it is based on is a 6-book series.

It's a good movie. Brought back so many childhood memories. Apparently there's like 10 sequels. I'm going to be watching all of them soon!

One of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. Prior to seeing it again recently I hadn't seen it since the original release in theatres 10+ years ago!

You're probably right that I missed a lot of it since I don't speak French but, even watching it with English subtitles, it's still a damn good film IMO and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic Planet, France, 1973

Watched this last night, weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. Essentially an animated sci-fi about humans in the far future on some strange planet of super advanced beings who are 100 times our size and keep humans as pets or see the wild humans as vermin. It follows one "ohm" (human) who escapes and plans to lead the resistance against the mighty aliens. I recommend being high for this one.

The 1st one was a complete waste of time. But since a lot of people hyped PA2 so much, i gave it another chance.

0.5/10 one of the most overrated movies i seen. I never fast forward movies but I did it here at one point, and almost fell asleep.

One of my favorite actors, i enjoyed the movie overall.

Memories of Murder - Got this on Netflix. Absolutely amazing, so well done. Alot of people on here can testify to how good this is.

30 Days of Night - Meh, it's an alright vampire movie. Nothing special.

Poseidon - Pretty decent action/disaster movie. I have yet to see the original though. I remember the old Pokemon episode where this happened. lolol.

http://pokemonepisode.org/episode-16-pokemon-shipwreck/

Well, the ship actually sinks completely unlike the one in the movie but they obviously got the idea for it from poseidon.

One of the best movies ever made. And you can't call it cheesy if it was intentional

Tarantino hasn't really made anything decent since then.

"The Day of the Triffids" - I remember we actually had the VHS tape of this lolol, I remember this cover of it now. Anyways, pretty good alien invasion flick, thought the triffids were pretty interesting. Also, there is a deserted hospital scene at the beginning of it, now I kinda see where 28 Days Later got it from.

Read the book. Infinitely better.

Also what's up with you and these old-ass movies?

I am pretty open-minded in this regard but Portman was a child, if you are sexually attracted to a 12-year old girl something is just not right.

I watched Pan Labyrinth last night. I almost cried at the ending, when I realized what the movie was about the entire time.
Great movie.
Wishing you well.

Just watched this, real good movie. Anything else like this, not necessarily korean? Love detective stories with a twist.
