I've been told to watch it for quite a while given that I usually like horror movies. Quite good but definitely not for everyone. Can be quite difficult to watch at times (pretty graphic). But I enjoyed it and it had great pacing. I found myself thinking about it for the next week or so, usually a sign of a movie I liked.

That really was a great one. So happy it is not being remade by spielberg and co. It is great as is.

![[image loading]](http://www.shockya.com/news/wp-content/uploads/angelina_jolie_salt_poster.jpg) Watched this earlier. Had some good action but I agree with what someone said before about the plot, if they could infiltrate the government on that level, why not just groom a presidential candidate, seems like they could have done that. Maybe I am praising this too high, but I am a sucker for Angelina films :S
I am skeptical of RT since I watched Atonement. It's 83% on there and it was a fucking piece of dog shit. I am sure there are other films I ended up watching because they had high RT scores and they ended up being shit but none are coming to mind right now.
Also, I am looking at Red Cliff on my netflix, but there are two versions, a Theatrical Edition, and the Original International that is in 2 parts, any preferences for either?

Elizabether Taylor was amazing.
![[image loading]](http://www.moviepostershop.com/the-chaser-movie-poster-1020486526.jpg) Holy shit, this was amazing. Alot of people have already seen it and given it their praise so I will spare it. I just kinda hated the ending a bit. + Show Spoiler +Ok, the girl escapes and she goes into this store where the woman helps her, but then the murderer comes into the same store to get cigs, and the clerk reveals that the women is there, like what the fuck really? that scenerio seems a bit far fetched but I never read up on the murders (said it was based on a true story) so I have no idea if that is how it happened.
![[image loading]](http://crashlanden.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/serenity-poster-l.jpg) Found this to be pretty meh. I never did watch firefly though and after seeing this, I can't say I will bother with it.

Serenity is basically a treat for Firefly fans to not really make up for the series being canceled after 1 season. Can't see how it would appeal to anyone who hasn't already watched Firefly and hasn't built up their perceptions of their world and attachment to the characters.
Firefly is a damn fun show though, and the final episode is a masterpiece.

One of my very favorite movies.

![[image loading]](http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/8881/isawthedevil22709618694.jpg) i saw the devil: absolutely amazing. one of my favorite movies of the year for sure. the villain in the movie is the main actor from oldboy so that should be a good enough reason to watch this!
![[image loading]](http://attachments.cngba.com/attachments/month_1012/101206105922a39826d79008dc.jpg) another really good movie out of korea. great action sequences, lots of violence and major ass kicking. if you're a fan of taken, man on fire, or revenge/thriller films in general, watch this asap.

Maniac

This is like Psycho meets Taxi Driver with some B-movie zombie vibe thrown in, although it is very much of the slasher genre in its golden age. Freaky and fucked up as hell, just as it should be, making it probably one of the best slasher movies ever.
Unlike others where the killer is a blank bogeyman, this movie takes you right into his twisted mind and world and you see him as a person as well as when he stalks random women in a reaction to his Oedipal/abusive messed up relationship with his mother. He borders on comedic in places but the movie doesn't leave you laughing. The urban NY setting works perfectly as well, and is a great change from the typical backwoods. The score is the major sore thumb, the B horror mindset of the time seems to have been "throw as many unidentifiable loud jarring sounds together along with odd spacey stuff and it will freak people out" but this movie could have done much better. Could be sickening to some.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the world. Read the comics series first to enjoy it even more.

On November 13 2010 15:16 Thoreezhea wrote:![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/800Qw.jpg) I'm not fucking kidding. I watched the first movie every day of my life until I was 5. I loved it. When the third came out, I thought, well, fuck it. I would like to see how the story ends and/or how good/bad they botched/made it. So I rented it and watched it. and let me tell you, I am GLAD that I didn't buy it. It sucked.
I thought quite the opposite (also being a fan of the first one). Highly recommended! I couldn't stop laughing.

Devil
Can't really say a bad word about this movie. Can't say much good either. Was watchable and probably a sign that mr. Shyamalan has stopped his decline and started doing the movies that don't suck again. Back to basics, still far from Unbreakable, Sixth Sense and The Village.

Skyline
Don't bother. This movie has no plot (at least no interesting plot) and makes no sense overall. If you want to watch alien invasion go and rent Independence Day or The War of the Worlds instead.

Unstoppable
If someone would tell me before that movie about trains could be intense I would just laugh. Now I stand corrected. I was literally biting my fingernails during this one. So many emotions... Brilliant directing.

The Graduate

My reaction: Maybe you had to be there?
A hugely influential and loved movie, but it basically had no effect on me other than "well what am I supposed to think?" when apparently when it came out in 1967 Anne Bancroft was quite the villain and Dustin Hoffman and Katharine Ross heroic figures.
Quite funny in parts but the humor isn't enough to carry the movie without the whole context of its time (which is not actually developed very much in the movie, not much in it actually places it in that time other than just knowing when it was made as a viewer). I feel like it's lost a lot of relevance and is almost a relic.

![[image loading]](http://www.firstshowing.net/img/myblueberrynights-poster.jpg) Well, I was hoping Natalie Portman was gonna have a bigger role. So, in other words I enjoyed the last half hour of the movie where she was in it. Before that It was pretty dull and I felt no attachment to Jude Law's character or any other really.

Just finished watching this movie and I have to say that it was pretty ok, it wasnt all that scary that I thought it would be as you never get to see anything during the kill scenes. The lights just turns out theres alot of screaming and noises and whopdido someones dead. And sure it had its cheesy moments but after all it was okay

This movie was amazing. It kept making me second-guess what was going. Portman is excellent in it and I'm a huge fan of both her and the director. Finally got to see it today and was so glad I was able to. It's about a ballet and drama over who's playing the lead role. The movie is centered mostly on Portman's character's inner conflict to perform at the level asked of her. It's got interesting pacing and subtle things that make you question her sanity. This one's going on my shelf once it hits blu ray.
