Finally, a decent vampire movie, be sure to watch the subtitled version being the dubbed is much worse than the usual bad dubs. They made a Hollywood version of this called "Let me in" this year, have yet to see it though.

Best such thriller since the days of Seven and The Bone Collector. Literally blew my mind, why hasn't it been advertised more still eludes me since it definitely carries the Armies of Exigo effect (an excellent product that doesn't get attention it desires due to poor/lack of advertising).
Seven was amazing, and Bone Collector is good. But Anamorph? I couldn't bare watching it anymore after the first 45 minutes. The best way I can sum it up in one line: Anamorph is a horror suspense thriller movie without the horror, suspense or thrills, and without any characters anyone cares about. One reviewer from Rotten Tomatoes put it succinctly:
"Anamorph dances around ponderous issues and grotesque scenery but fails to really engage, startle or disturb. " Graham Killeen Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Ever since seeing Unstoppable I've been looking for more great suspense/thriller type movies. Any recommendations?

Yeah, it was a good movie. It's a nice take on often inflexible genre. A friend of mine who is crazy about this movie recommends the book as well. The book really goes into this detail, which is hinted in the movie.
+ Show Spoiler +Girl is actually a castrated boy.

Let the right one in was easily the movie of the year. I'm sorta angry in some ways they made an american remake. The swedish version is perfect and art.
oh well...
Yes and the book is also v. good but a bit explicit even for a TL.net reader.

I saw the prestige, memento, no country for old men and se7en I recommend all of them!

The Wicker Man
Save yourself the trouble and go watch the original from 1973 instead. Keep away from the 2006 version.

I very recently watched the first 'Narnia' movie. Now let me explain. It was a Christmas gift from someone to someone and I happened to sit on the couch when the receiver of the gift watched the movie. I thought 'what the heck' and watched along...
Let me put it this way: this movie has it all: terrible story, awful script, atrocious acting, pointless and retarded dialogues,... did I mention the abysmal dialogues? I don't know if the book is as shitty as this waste of anyone's time but I bet that any run-of-the-mill thirdgrader could write a storyline that equals that of 'Narnia' in terms of quality, originality and suspense. Every thirty seconds something really, really illogical happens and mostly, it involves the miserably failed attempt to make sense of the utter bullshit that is the story. Nevermind that the plot itself (children flee war, end up in a professor's house - who he is or why he's the one they get sent to is not explained - where they enter a fantasy-world to become royalty and win a war for some animals because of, have a guess, a prophecy) is already as unoriginal as can be, but the whole thing is just one big eclectic piece of terrible plagiarism. Lord of the Rings, Lion King, The Neverending Story, even fucking Santa Claus is part of the merry-go-round. Are you kidding me? Jesuz Christ on a stick, was this movie appalling. Did I mention this nonsense goes on for 2.5 hours?
It is easily, EASILY the worst movie I have seen in a long-ass time. Do yourselves a favour, do NOT watch this movie.

Nic Cage running around screaming random crazy stuff.. "How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned? HOW'D IT GET BURNED, HOW'D IT GET BURNED?" - epic! :D
