Drag Me to Hell was hilarious. I guess you didn't like Evil Dead 2 either.

Hostel and Hostel II

The plot in Hostel was god awful, but the movie is good once they get to that town. Whoever read the beginning of the script and thought it was acceptable was probably high.

Hostel II was about as bad when it came to how they got to the Hostel. The movie wasn't quite as dark as the original so the atmosphere wasn't as good. But the bloodbath scene and the last ~30 minutes were pretty good.

In short, the first one had the better atmosphere and was probably better overall, part II had its moments.

I finally got around to watching Chinatown after seeing that even so many years after its release it still gets tons of hype. The music was pretty nice, but the plot was a little dull to me.. Especially since you figure out who they're 'after' as soon as they introduce him. The plot was very well-crafted, but it just didn't really catch my attention most of the time. It was still good though.

Enjoyed the book better, but it kept my attention for the most part so it was ok.

Re-watched. Still cool.

Pretty fucked up. Great though!

Regarded as classic film noir from some people, I found it pretty dull to be honest....

Honestly, I expected to see the hyped-up mass killer rambo when I starting watching it. Was pleased with what I watched instead, seeing a disillusioned soldier having to fight another war after having just came from one. Thought it was done really well.

Well, Rambo just goes into a village spraying his machine gun, and shooting rockets everywhere, and shit dies. More action yeah, but disappointed with it overall.

Worse then the second...

Honestly, I was suprised at how bloody and gory it was. No story really, they just let the screen get filled with blood and exploded limbs. Still pretty cool though.

Can't believe I avoided it for so long. Beautiful.

Blew my fucking mind. I sure as hell don't want to live near a natural gas well after watching this.

Honestly, I mostly watched this at first for the Shadow of the Colossus cameo. It was still an ok movie for me. Adam Sandler was great.

I liked it. I really want to watch the others in the trilogy now.

Just saw it a day or 2 ago, and i must say...it wasn't bad But it was also preposterous. I mean, almost everything about it was just so absurd but still kept me interested. Something tells me to give it a 8.5/10 o.o

Underrated and unusual Horror with dark comedy elements. I liked it so much that I had to write about it on my blog.

At an indie grindhouse event at the local theater

Intrusion
[image loading]

A guy walks in on his girlfriend banging some dude and snaps. The good-hearted Holly is goaded by her best friend into a random prank call game where she pretends to have been a former lover and unfortunately she ends up calling this dude right then. Of course he has caller ID and starts stalking her, taking special issue with each of her friends who is finding satisfaction in a relationship.

Actually taking it seriously was not too bad. Nice little story, the main character is sincerely likable and the characters are believable, although the villain's acting is the one blemish in that.

Psychopath
[image loading]

Girls are taken to the woods where they can be hunted by an insane dude in a mask. Then some friends/sister of one of them go looking for her, where they are also hunted by insane dude in a mask. Yeah that's basically the plot.

I can't tell if this was supposed to be a serious movie or not, straight up it was unbelievably terrible, but the sheer randomness of everything (like the choice of shots, random zoom ins on objects etc) and characters' blatant disregard for logic makes me feel like it might have been partly like the makers were saying "clearly we know we have made a slasher film that has no redeeming characteristic or anything people haven't seen before, so lets just make it funnily incompetent." Somehow there was one genuine moment of horror (which is something lots of movies don't manage) but there's a strong possibility that was due to the luck of being random and hitting the target once. Also was good-bad, fun to make fun of, so was an enjoyable movie.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion man

I watched Cyrus yesterday. It was an interesting movie, but not the best. The story was really predictable so the movie relied mostly on the weird/awkward acting of John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill to make it good, so their scenes together were obviously the best part of the movie. That was enough to make the movie interesting, but not enough for me to recommend it to anyone.
Do an arranged marriage if she's not completely minging, and don't worry about dancing, get a go-kart, cheers.

Saw True Grit last night at a pre-screening, it wasn't the greatest thing i've ever seen but it was pretty good still and Jeff Bridges was hilarious

Would just like to warn you that the movie which just hit the cinemas (here in Norway atleast)

SKYLINE
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1564585/

was a really really crappy movie.

The intro was promising, the concept was thrilling, but the completion was just.... bah...

Booring, repetative and too much of the classic hollywood scenes.

Save your money
Random.. the only race getting nerfed each and every patch...

I actually saw this a while ago and again today.

It's such a beautiful and deep movie... so underrated I don't even understand why!

I'm not sure how to describe it but if you are into sci-fi/deep movies such as Gattaca you should definately look for it.

Check out the trailer on youtube!

Apocalypse Now
[image loading]

Only the 2nd time I've seen it, the first was the extended version, which is actually too long and makes it lose some steam. But anyway, this is without a doubt in my mind one of the greatest movies ever. Maybe the greatest I've seen personally. It goes beyond what he did in The Godfather to me, because this is just as much of a brilliant piece of storytelling, with incredibly inventive and ingenious scenes and atmosphere creation, but further, it shakes you to the core, gets inside your mind and turns it inside out. Uses the medium of film to enhance and bring totally to life its source material, making it probably the best adaptation of a book I've ever seen too, takes Heart of Darkness to a new level.

Moon was great, I really should re-watch it :O

Watched tons more shit lately.

Watched the first one awhile ago, so it wasn't so fresh in my mind. Enjoyed it for the most part, except the fights in the Rocky movies are so unrealistic.

I felt like this was the emotional peak for the series, with Micky dying and all, then losing the title. Made the fight at the end that much more intense.

Well, of course I had seen this before because it's seemingly the only Rocky movie they play on television. Still cool.

By far my least favorite of the Rocky films. He gets royally fucked money wise and has to move back to city. Have to deal with this Tommy faggot, and his pussy ass kid, ugh. The street fight at the end was nice though.

Was nice to see Rocky get back in the ring again. Reminded me of the first film, where the fight wasn't so much about winning.

Glad I finally go around to watching them, also watched:

Loved this, the fight scenes were amazing as fuck, much better then that wire-fu bullshit.

Still don't know what to think of this, after watching it twice and reading lengthy plot explanations, it is still a bit fuzzy. I think I will have to watch it again now. After hearing people say it is like Memento, I really want to check it out.

Time for some eastern movies..

If you liked Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, you will love this: House of the Flying Daggers
[image loading]

An awesome love story without a single kiss in the entire movie! Deffinetly chineese style: In the Mood for Love
[image loading]

You think SPARTANS are bad-ass?? Pff.. Check out them chineese heroes! NOT a deep movie but awe
some none the less: Red Cliff!

And another entertaining movie, made after the Basilisk manga/anime: Shinobi
[image loading]

Not really new movies but movies you should not miss.. Especially the first two!
