I just watched RED last night and i just wanted to say that i'm very disappointing with rotten tomatoes. I've never watched a movie that was ranked high on rotten tomatoes that i disliked. Red is currently at 70% on rotten tomatoes which should means a good movie.

Without going into huge details, the reason I disliked RED so much was the way it was so overly dramatic and predictable. Every single so called "witty joke" was as predictable as the plot itself. This made the movie extremely boring and drawnout. Personally I give this movie a 40% ratting since Malkovich was hilarious as always and Mary Louis Parker was a smoke show.

I recommend downloading the movie(which is currently available in decent format) and save your money for harry potter

A plot twist does not a good story make. Oldboy (and the whole vengeance trilogy, really) is only good because of the directing and acting. The story is bullshit.

HP and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1

I respect it somewhat for bringing an angle to the story with thematic consistency (really trying to explore the Harry Ron Hermione friendship dynamic) and not being merely a telling of the plot with pretty pictures, but it was also tedious, poorly paced and scattered like many of the other movies. Also unsatisfying with a rushed and random final conflict, doesn't really stand as its own movie. Worse than #3 and 6 which were actually enjoyable movies, better than the tripe that was 1,2,4,5.

500 Days of Summer

A decent watch but nothing special, seen it before and much more interestingly in Annie Hall/High Fidelity/Eternal Sunshine. Too much spoon feeding of ideas and annoyingly dumb voiceover.

Casino Royale

Didn't like it the first time I saw it because I thought that serious content and James Bond were not really a good mix cause the whole concept is inherently unserious and ridiculous, but I definitely enjoyed it the second time looking at it much more simply. Also discovered most James Bond movies are very fun to watch drinking with friends.

Wonder Boys

Fantastic and hilarious. Really great portrait of some writers and the connection between life and writing.

Derailed - plot twist with not much of a plot twist. Watchable but so-so and meh.
Caché - One of the most annoying plots ever. With stupid characters and gimmicky shots. Fast-forwarded.
The White Ribbon - Interesting. Although the same director as above, this one is much more absorbing.
(500) Days of Summer - really good! Touching and humorous. Not an autopilot romantic comedy.
Tropa de Elite - really good! Bad-ass action with real-world connection on current events.
