![]() A decent Korean horror movie. Had great imagery and a good creepiness to it. Never really gets you connected to any of the characters though (until the very end), it's hard to really feel scared in my gut because I was lacking investment in any of them whatsoever. Ghostbusters 2 ![]() Not a horrible movie, but so hugely worse than the first one (which is in the conversation of funniest movies ever) that it's known as a mega disappointment. A few funny moments but lacking in that regard too. Metropolitan ![]() An indie offering on the upper crust Park Avenue social scene, light-heartedly comedic sendup, very endearing characters that you like and understand more and more as it goes on. Definitely takes some influence from Jane Austen as well as responding to that type of thing (it's is also a favorite topic of discussion between some of the characters). I'd imagine it appeals to literary/philosophical types and not as much to others. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Can't ever trust TL recommendations. I thought both of those movies were bad too.

One of the funniest movies I've watched in a long time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yM3-YO7qHs 'When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." ' The first time I saw that movie I was like, meh (and I have no idea what I was thinking), then I saw it again (in a theater even) and it's freaking awesome.
