Never really gets you connected to any of the characters though (until the very end), it's hard to really feel scared in my gut because I was lacking investment in any of them whatsoever. Definitely takes some influence from Jane Austen as well as responding to that type of thing (it's is also a favorite topic of discussion between some of the characters). I'd imagine it appeals to literary/philosophical types and not as much to others. I enjoyed it thoroughly. | ||
