![]() Synecdoche new york. Oh, and clash of the titans. All the movies weren't bad at all. They were fun and enjoyable, especially the trilogy.

http://kaganof.com/kagablog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/stander.jpg No Idea how to add pictures. It's a film called Stander and it's based on a real character in South Africa who was a highly regarded detective and abused the fact the apartheid had the police stretched across the country to commit bank heists. During the film I was thinking, yeah this is a good film but I'm calling bullshit on how accurate this is. After wikipediaing the main character, I'm amazed at some of the stuff he did and got away with. Made me respect the film even more so. Anyway I definitely recommend this film to anyone who has a set of testicles.

I just got done watching Noriko no shokutaku or "Noriko's Dinner Table" a Japanese movie released in 2005, directed and written by Sion Sono. The movie is a prequel to another cult film directed and written by the same guy that was released in 2002, Suicide Club. You do not need to have seen Suicide Club to fully enjoy and understand this film. I though Suicide Club was an awful and garbage movie and would have never expected this one to be as phenomenal as it is. Noriko's Dinner Table is classified as a Drama/Horror movie and here is the plot synopsis : A teenager called Noriko Shimabara runs away from her family in Tokoyama, to meet Kumiko, the leader of an Internet BBS, Haikyo.com. She becomes involved with Kumiko's "family circle", which grows darker after the mass suicide of 54 high school girls. Now the reason I'm sharing this movie with ya'll fine folks is because it's one of the most deep, interesting and original movie I've ever seen. I've been watching pretty close to at least one movie everyday since 6 years now... Very few movies had a deep impact on me, be it emotionally or intellectually. This movie definitely challenged me intellectually, it is so deep and profound on so many levels, psychologically, philosophically, religiously, it reflects on existence, the role or purpose of individuals, life and society. There's so many metaphorical meanings, subtilities and symbols and it's all backed by an original, interesting character driven story. The movie is divided into chapters, one for each of the main characters. And thus the viewer can achieve what the characters themselves can't: understand other people's motives and feelings. That to me was impressive. And I figured since the people on this board apparently loves real content and meaningful stuff, I'd share it here. Here is the original cover ![]() And the international cover version ![]()

The Secret in their Eyes - Argentine thriller/romance, highly recommend. IMO the best film of 2009. The White Ribbon - German artsy film, weird mystery. Overrated. Un Prophete - French Muslim gangster film, good acting.

![]() I really don't get how such simple concept (and very entertaining in theory) could be made into this dragging-on-forever and utterly boring movie... ![]() Don't bother watching it. Even the fight scenes are bad.

I doubt people here call starship troopers underrated. Any real starcraft fan knows about this movie and has seen it atleast once. Starship troopers is what i'd imagine in a real terran vs zerg fight.

They didn't even manage to bring the story straight, if you don't know the series you'll miss a lot of things. I found this movie a disgrace to the series.

What if just one choice made your life completly diffrent - but from what? I liked this movie, but not the greatest, though very well done and smart. ![]() http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485947/
